GWC Podcast #112

Thanks for the HK vid. Was that from cut dialog or something?

Something fun to do in KOTOR 2 that I’ve done before is get all the droids as soon as possible and play the game as an evil Sith with my own personal Droid army.

Yes. I think that’s what my original thinking was. I heard the Breen talk which triggered my memory of thinking that they ripped off Star Wars somehow. I totally forgot about Boush.

It is definitely pop culture when you do not need any translation. Thanks

Wow…thats great. I’m totally doing that next time I play ping pong (if I ever do). I was flipping channels today though and I passed two different cartoons that had lightsaber looking weapons in them. They try to pass them off as something else by making them yellow or putting a star at the end but we ALL know it’s copyright infringement. Or imitation, the finest form of flattery. You pick.

PS that was me and my sister with the MTA song intro this week

That is one of the funniest things I have ever seen in writing!!

And of course, Howard the Duck! Lea Thompson was like a backstreet punk rocker in that movie.

oooo! Snap!

I didn’t know ATC was on Sundays - I listen during the week though! I thought Pineapple Express was great - I’m not a diehard stoner movie fan, but this one is really funny.

Re: Dirty Dancing - I am exactly like you. I never got into that movie. Every birthday party and gathering until about sixth grade involved multiple forced viewings of that movie. I was like, what about the Never Ending Story? Or Goonies? Or Labyrinth? And all these screaming, pigtailed girls would insist on DD. Oh well.

On the whole “chick flick” thing - they are not uniformly bad. Sometimes they’re scoffed at as though they were $3.99 checkout line romance novels, but they turn up good stories about as often as anything else. They don’t happen to be my favorite genre, but I’m not hatin’.

Maybe women should just “take it back,” and then we could call any movie with a gun or an explosion in it a “dick flick.” (Sorry Barb!)

Yea for the last word from Admiral Akbar!

MUCH more -good catch

thus illustrating yet again that Audra is the Coolest!

I like to second that thought.

For the characters on the film. :stuck_out_tongue:

Though, one can lead to another.

I like chick-flicks that are comedies, it is the angsty drama where everyone dies that I can’t stand.

Henceforth and forever more…

Yeah, it’s a cut dialog of HK-47 shout outs to other great Sci-fi pieces.

It included at least 2 lines from Terminator 2 (with HK doing Arnold impression), maybe 1 from Red-Dwarf and a couple from A New Hope.

OMG Yes. That, or Grease. : shudders :

And Audra’s new awesome phrase makes for interesting Googling… urban dictionary, ay ay ay, to Judd Apatow movies lol

I’ve found the perfect bridge between the Star Wars arc and the Matrix arc.

Star Wars Kid Vs. Agent Smith

//youtu.be/YvEibGgp-GA

Where is the Star Wars kid now? I haven’t seen his E True Hollywood story yet.

I thought he resurfaced recently (possibly ROFLcon?)

Nah. They just talked about him. Where is the real guy? Does he look like Daniel Craig now? Has he capitalized off his infamy?

I cant believe I missed this! I love Star Wars!

first and foremost i found chucks evil twin today and he was a bus driver

truly it was uncanny how much he looked like chuck, i talked to him explain the situation asking if i could take a picture of him. but he told me to screw off. (not that i can blame him i mean if a complete stranger asked to take a picture of you so he could post it on the inter-web; no’s not a unreasonable answer)

secondly the crazy carpet was my xbox for many years, i’ve had many adventures with a hill, snowbank, and a shiny piece plastic

let me put it to you this way my mom was always worried about drugs of booze when i was growing up. but as close to me being dead was sliding down a hill. falling badly and not being able to movie my toes for ten minutes.

also my legendary moment, down the hill, across the highway, off a ramp onto the lake ice and into the drink. it was pretty damn cool dangerous as all hell but pretty damn cool. (side note we had spotters for the highway and an ice ladder and waiting warm car filled with blankets)

still it was awesome I’m just glad no one was hurt, its best to no try it

awww memories, I should have died…

Lol - I just checked Urban Dictionary. Great definitions. I hadn’t thought to see if it already existed. I still like to think of it as a GWC term, hehe.

BWAH-HAAA-HAAAAAA!!!

Oh, YES!!!
