I’m waiting to watch Dark Knight when I can do it at home, because I don’t deal well with scary. Seriously, I don’t, especially not in movie theaters.

Did anyone else hear Sunday’s All Things Considered? There was a review of Pineapple Express and it was quite funny, because the host was like, the movie sounds stupid. And the guy who was reviewing it positively was like, yeah it is, but it’s still good, because it’s stupid. I was laughing at the radio. Though I have to admit, I’m not an Apatow fan, so I prolly would be like the host - stupid? There are lots of other movies out there to see…

I’m a woman and I never liked Dirty Dancing. I saw it, and was underwhelmed.

Dark Knight is intense as FRAK. My heart was like thudthudthudthudthudthud for the entire last 45 minutes

And Pineapple is stupid but it’s a good stupid. It’s like realistic and then falls more and more into absurd but it also gets funnier and funnier

I will give you a bit of advice. Would it kill you to see Dirty Dancing? Will it make your wife happy? Come on why not see the movie. She could want jewelry or cars. :smiley:

Phil - I have reconsidered my earlier stated position. Leah is correct. Especially re the jewelry or cars point. AND it has Jerry Orbach in it and he NEVER gave a bad performance in his career (or at least one that remains captured on film).

Or Patrick Swayze. Even if you hate romantic comedies and think dancing is stupid and don’t even want to see Jennifer Gray in a leotard, think about The Swayze. You can do it!

I like Dirty Dancing. I’m always game for an 80s cheeseburger movie. Also my older sister was obsessed with the movie and she corrupted me at a young age.

Just going back to a BSG theme until I get into the full swing of The Matrix arc. The pic is just a funny pic I found a while ago. I thought it would be a good change of pace rather than my original Tighclops icon.

If they’re not willing to go on record recommending The Aristocrats then I will. Among many great moments you’ll also see new side Bob Saget.

My favorite part is on the DVD extras… Tim Conway tells a great story about a farmer and a donkey…

I judge it more on the basis of with whom I would like to have a couple of beers and swap lies. Orbach would have won that one going away. It’s an old timer thing.
