totally sounds like my kind of movie!!! i’ll have to hit up my friend to see if i can get a copy he’s a pirate aaarrrrgggghhh!!!
Its directed by Darren Aronofsky hes the same guy who made Requiem for a dream and Π (Π = pi)
I dunno, dude. He sure seemed pretty French in the movie. I checked the credits and everything; it’s definitely him.
Woohoo
Finally listening to the podcast.
Damn kids get off my lawn!!!
He was there, and there’s probably still youtube vid. I’m still catching up on stuff I didn’t get to see.
Just got pix from my friend- I’ll flickr them soon!
i wanted to ask if you got to see hugh jackman at the con?? so jealous cause i knew wolvie would make an appearance to plug the new movie (my tattoo guy told me he probly would and he was right!!) sooo jealous of those of you that got to go!!
I watched vid on youtube of X-Men Origins.
Sean I agree with Yoda turning senile. It’s like when your grandfather starts to get a little “eccentric”.
LMAO
When Sean said Lando was Paris Hilton I said wow at exactly the same time as Chuck.
well, yeah. and i have nothing against the French. just trying to be funny. guess it didn’t really work.
Well, it turns out, they were just messin’ with me. I asked last week during a break, “Guys, do you seriously not know what Star Wars is?” and one girl laughed and said, “How could you not?” and a couple of people said, “Yeah, yeah, of course we know!”
So I guess it was just that usual blank stare/no response you get sometimes that threw me off. (RELIEF!)
Definitely relief! Though it was kind of amusing while it lasted, it’s good to know that Lucas’s Gospel continues to spread throughout the universe
I’m telling you, 20- 30 years from now Jedi will be the new Scientology.
I’m hoping it will have more respectability than that…
Actually for those of you of a certain age may remember one of the real world influences of Jedi philosophy, Erhard Seminars Training or EST. It’s kind of a self help, get the crap out of your life philosphy. Not coincidentally with GL and SW it started out of San Francisco in the early 1970’s.
Any other ESTees or The Forum-ites out there? Did you get it?
Cute.
My friend who had all the great toys had this too. Truth be told, I also enjoyed this a great deal, probably more than the toys.
I’ve always been a huge mythology geek, so I’ve known JC for a very long time. When I was a kid, I always confused him with character actor Joseph Campanella. I was always amazed that he both wrote books and acted.
Great flick.
Does that really narrow it down?
That explains a lot. Obviously, the Cylons go off in a genocidal rage around pastels…
See, I always thought of this the other way around. When Luke cut off Vader’s hand in RotJ, my first thought was that now he and Luke are alike. Obviously, Vader had lost his hand before that, considering the electronics in his wrist, but I never really thought about it that Vader had made Luke like him. Odd how the mind works, isn’t it…?

This trend is promising…
No, side bets folks. There is NO gambling going on here.
Nope, not at all. It’s just a gentlemen’s wager, like destroying someone’s life for a dollar. Completely harmless.
Very interesting movie. I loved the look of it. The microscopic imagery was such an intriguing (and cost-effective) use of special effects.
Someday, people will talk of St. George, and no one will even think of a dragon…
What, like the futures market for frozen concentrated orange juice?
I don’t know if this has been mentioned before but Billy Dee Williams also portrayed Harvey Dent in Batman '89
Did he have the Michael Jackson skin bleaching thing to turn into Tommy Lee Jones?
