GWC Podcast #108

IYKWSM

(If You Know What She Means)

i don’t know what i mean half the time…my mouth and my brain are rarely in sync…i swear i’m a freakin mugwai…gremlin to the layperson…usually by the time the thought travels the pathway through my brain and out of my mouth the next thought is usually “oh wait don’t say that out loud!!”

all right i have to ask…what has two thumbs and is excited to see heath ledger as the joker tomorrow??? /uses thumbs to point to self

THIS GIRL!!!

i swear i’m a freakin mugwai…gremlin to the layperson.

I have to correct you…

Mugwais are the cute furry critters and Gremlins are what they turn into after eating something after midnight.

You know, I have always wondered what is the window of time after midnight that a Mugwai will turn into a gremlin. When is it safe to start feeding your Mugwai again? Seriously, Mr. Wing should have wrote a Mugwai FAQ besides the three big rules.

lol yeh i was doing an impression of harry (from dumb and dumber) when he said 'canines…DOGS to the layperson"… but you’re good!! and i totally agree about the faq’s!! or at least some kind of trouble shooting or SOMEthing!

Worked for me once. <shrug>

Hm once… and a warning to all you bunk-inhabitants… if someone were to use that line from me, they could expect laughing in their face and great mocking. Just saying

So who’s the bird? :stuck_out_tongue: part of me’s thinking Megan “I Want To Do An Entire Movie In The Nude” Fox, but I honestly don’t know enough about her.

few of us DO know truly ENOUGH about her, holy semprini!

This is my first post and wanted to say that #108 was awesome!. I’m a little sad to be in the midst of a Galactica hiatus, but, i’m very happy to have come on board some episodes before “Revelations”, and then, just in time for the Star Wars podcasts.

Anyway, the first time I saw Revenge of the Sith I was pretty disappointed. The ending anti-climactic. I kept hearing, at the time of the prequels release, how they were geared towards kids. Yet, as was mentioned in #107, why all the political intrigue then? A little kid isn’t going to get that. Anyway, a huge gripe of mine concerning EPIII is that I didn’t really care for the “Mother of all Lightsaber Battles” that Obi-wan and Anakin had. I’ve been waiting for decades to see this and that was all I got? I was much more excited over the Yoda vs. Sidious battle. Now that, was kickass. Anyway, don’t get me wrong, I still love me some Star Wars, but, seriously, the prequels seriously lacked, and it’s a wound that is still healing. Alright, off my soapbox. Keep up the great work guys, and I’m anxious to hear what you have to say about the Original Trilogy as you work your way through it.

Welcome, Gaeta’s Leg!

I think you’re one of the few people I know that prefers the Yoda/Sidious battle. It was fun, but I preferred the Obi-Wan/Anakin battle. That said, I truly think that both fights had their greatness detracted from because they are edited together. See one complete fight, and follow it with the other. That would make me happier.

Yeah, great swordfight.

So anyway, Casilda, I really like that T shirt you’re wearing. Would you mind taking it off so I could wear it?

I love the the name Gaeta’s Leg.

've been waiting for decades to see this and that was all I got?

That was all you got? What are you smoking? That battle is everything and more that had been hinted at for years. The battle was perfect. I also consider both saber duels (Anakin VS. Odi and Yoda VS. Sidious) as one sequence. They are both inter cut with each other.

No offense intended.

Whoops… you got me in a bad mood :stuck_out_tongue:

Hmm, that is food for thought.(Thanks for the welcome, by the way!) I probably would have liked Obi-Wan Vs. Anakin more if it had been a scene on its own. I LIVE for a good lightsaber battle, so trust me, it was strange for me to not completely love their “ultimate” fight. It would have been cool to see Anakin show a little of what would we see on a grand scale later. Hurtling things during battle and so forth. (Btw, I’m a huge Yoda fan, so while I had heard that he did battle with Sidious leading up to the movie, I had no idea it would be presented in such a way. I was in hog heaven!)

Twenty+ years of build-up is what I think killed it for me. I probably expected to die of a heart attack during the battle just from being in awe. I liked the battle, just didn’t love it. (Cool name by the way!)

Bwah-haaa-haaaaaa!

you GO girl!

Gaeta’s Leg-- Awesome handle!

I liked the Spinning Muppet of Doom.

I love it.

Welcome aboard…

I kind of agree with you here. I just watched ANH this week and one of the cooler scenes was GM Tarkin talking to his generals and Darth Vader about the Emperor dissolving the Imperial Senate and transferring control to the local governors. It was a nice short line that lead to great speculation and imagination on the part of the viewer of what the interworkings of the government was actually like. In many respects my imagination was more impressive than actually watching it on screen. Maybe it would have worked better to have the trade disputes just mentioned and not shown in the prequels giving more time to actually focus on the main characters we’re interested in?

I am strangely afraid that I know what your talking about.

Welcome to the GWC gang.
