The pool? Come on say it: You’ll be in your bunk, and you know it.
Yes, she said your name but it was really really very x-rated (is “x-rated” a term that translates overseas?) what she said about you. Fortunately (or unfortunately for you) Chuck edited that part out for the International version you’re listening too. Sorry dude.
derupon, I’m sorry to hear about your cat. Like starbuccaneer and others here, I have a special place in my heart for kittehs.
Re: Cookie Monster - I’m totally with you, Lady D and bkitty, especially what Lady D said about CTW keeping its tradition of education and positive impact for kids. I like ranting about Cookie Monster because I loved him as a kid and am bummed to see him altered. But seriously, I think that it was probably a tough decision to make for the Sesame Street creators, and if it helps kids while still giving them a loveable furry muppet friend, it’s all good with me.
As far as the criticism or lack of criticism of the show, I’m glad to see some understanding of our take on the show late in this thread. (By the way, I’ve never hesitated to speak what I thought because of our recent cool calls from a few of the BSG actors, and I can say the same for the guys. I don’t think it had occurred to any of us to think beyond, “Hey, cool! They called us!”)
We’re not critics or reviewers- there are plenty of more skilled, articulate reviews out there to dig into. We’re three folks who like to watch the show, then have an entertaining discussion about it. Some eps lend themselves more to laughs than others, but it’s always our aim to have fun and, hopefully, be fun to listen to. There’s plenty of room for criticism, and I’m cool with that. It’s just not really the role of GWC to be critics. We have opinions, but so does everyone (you know what they say about opinions) So we try not to get mired down in negativity, because we’re ultimately just fans of the show here for the entertainment.
For what it’s worth, we’re not incapable of seeing flaws; we do have personal preferences and issues just like everyone. I just don’t think that type of conversation would be as fun to partake in or to listen to.
GWCers freely discuss, critique, argue, and question, as we should! I look forward to more good ideas and exchanges as always.
Audra, you are not only the coolest, you are the awesomest. And there is recent polling data to back that up:

Does Romo’s living cat have a name? Im not sure, if it dosent we should start a poll for the cats name, my vote is for Bobo Lamkitty sort of a modification on Romo Lamkin, what do you think?
“if you die, your cat will eat you.” - Craig Ferguson
if it’s on TV, it’s true
have we not been saying this all along?
You can guys can be pretty productive over the course of one GMT+1 night!
That means you can’t marry me, it wouldn’t work out. TFG taught me all about marriage. I’m sorry.
It’s been said before, but I wouldn’t blame cookies for all that.
True, but healthy food doesn’t have to be expensive either. A pack of oats costs almost nothing and is way more nutritious than most cereals that are half sugar anyway.
I’m hearing that a lot these days and for me, that just doesn’t count to excuse episodes like Sine Qua Non, because they had that long, LONG, LOOOONG hiatus to work all this out perfectly.
I wouldn’t dare.
I’ve been told that some are more perfect than others now… plus, if anything, I’d want to be a LOL-cat!
Anyway, it was really cool hearing your voice on the podcast, Starbuccaneer.
She was on the podcast?
I hate it when he does that! And yes, the X speaks for itself
That’s good to know. I wouldn’t want to lose you three “to the other side”
So we try not to get mired down in negativity, because we’re ultimately just fans of the show here for the entertainment.
Humor me, I’m German, I enjoy some negativity once in a while
Romo’s cat’s name is Jessica Simpson.
Yes, but try to get a kid to eat it.
I think the show could have been crafted better. The one thing that I think bothered most of you (generally) is that all of the cool people showed their soft mushy and some what crazy side. I still not sure that part of Romo’s behavior was not a way to push Lee in the right direction again but we may never know that.
Jake seems a strong type and can be a good support to Romo. I read somewhere that Jake was a Newfoundland on Caprica. If this is true that dog shrunk over the last year. Jake now being a herding dog should be able to lead everyone in the right direction or at least answer when Romo has long conversations with him.
Leah … what an awesome screen name… can you see me melting?
Io9 is with me on not loving the last episode too much:
http://io9.com/5012136/two-problems-and-one-solution-for-fridays-battlestar-episode
my high-school crush was named Leah. But back then I have never watched Starwars in English before, so I didn’t know that’s the same as Princess Leah for much later.
She did insist on her name should be pronounced “Lee-yah” instead of the movie “Lay-ah”. Anyway, when I see Leah, it’s is still hard for me to think Starwars… because my head thinks highschool.
Hansioux, where are you from? France?
Not all Americans loved this episode. I for one thought it was a HUGE waste. We only have so many episodes left and I felt we really got ripped off on this one. Please I don’t want to be mean, but is there anybody who was surprised to see Lee as the presidient? Was there anybody who didn’t know that this would be the ultimate outcome as soon as they started this arc? It seemed highly likely this was where they were headed the moment Lee said he wasn’t returning as CAG and instead was going into politics. I agree with an earlier poster that spending so much time on this arc is insulting to the viewer.
Y’know when I heard Racetrack my first thought was “Damn her voice is hot”…must be the fact she is always talkiing in the helmet or something. Just never caught that before.
Oh my god!!! Her voice is hot? I’m so excited! I still haven’t listened to the podcast. Oh! How was Starbuccaneer’s voice? Was there a cat purring in the background when she called in?
Actually, I didn’t think he was going to be President this quickly. Maybe closer to the end of the series, maybe after Roslin died or something. buit not this quickly, no.
And IMHO, this is was one of the better episodes cuz it had so many changes and so many more questions.
And most importantly --JAKE IS BACK!!
In-frakkin-deed.
Once again, showing Audra to be the “coolest”.
Although–there was one thing missing–I REALLY wanted her to make some smart ass (sorry Barb) comment about Lee being President. Something about his suit, hair or something. Anything. That would have been classic Starbuck.
I live in Taiwan now. Where I am from could be a very long story
