GWC Podcast #100

I know. I know. I really had to pysch myself up for that yada yada yada.
I felt like Elaine in that Seinfeld episode where she yada yada yaded sex.

Elaine: We went to dinner, had lobster bisque, went back to his place and then yada, yada , yada.

Jerry: Did you just yada, yada, yada sex!! You skipped over the best part!!

Elaine: No I didn’t. I mentioned the lobster bisque.

You just dredged some childhood memories for me too.

Ever see “Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land”?

Uh, have you read the sonnets? The man was a theatrical genius, but I would rather read GR’s warp nacelles poem than pick up Shakespeare’s sonnets. “Yada yada yada” would be perfectly appropriate except that “yada” isn’t iambic.

YES!

No one, I mean no one remembers this. This is how I learned how to play pool!

So there I was, re-watching “Guess whats’…” and a thought occured to me…and after the burning sensation subsided…is it just me or ever since the “lifting of Baltar” and Baltar’s little “Im OK, you’re perfect” speech…Head Six seems to be…gone?

Oh no…have you been hanging out with Hot Dog or Seelix?

I’m just finishing up the end of the podcast. Chuck and Audra are talking about thier Star Trek action figure collection. I had to go under my desk to muffle the laughter. Morn and Vedek Bareil Antos!!! I remember when I was a kid, my cousin had the Star Trek bridge playset. He gave me the red shirt action figure. I was a kid. I didn’t know but it just reminded me of that.

When my cousin got older, he gave me the rest of the set. Best dang thing I ever got from anyone.

That reminds me, after hearing the live cast on Saturday, I was at a used bookstore that sells a lot of ST paraphernalia. They had originial 3 packs of ST:TNG action figures which consisted of Captain Picard, Tasha (or is it Taisha? ) Yar, and the infamous Lt. Broccoli.

I can see the marketing meeting now: How are we going to get rid of all these Barclay action figures? Attach them to Capt. Picard, they’ll sell like hotcakes!

Truth be told, I’d so much rather have the Barclay figure though…

See, I’d be totally up for the Broccoli. The others are just too recognizable. I think this upcoming weekend I’m going to pick up a Sela action figure, though. I’ve seen her, but they always want like $5 for her, and $1 - $2 is more my range.

He should be sold with Chief O’Brien and those worms (who were people) that were in that TNG episode with the people stuck in the transporter beam.

Oh, like the sound of that, I do.

Nice scarf.

Good to (sort of) hear you call in on the 'cast!

Just listening to #100 on my new Ipod Touch (aren’t you all jealous!) while wasting time at work. Awesome! Arm porn, clip reel, Michael Trucco, Audra singing the “In the CIC” song. Awesome. I haven’t gotten to David’s song yet but I’ve been laughing out loud for the last hour and 20 minutes and I’m starting to get people peeking in my cube wondering if I’m on drugs. (Ok, I am but they are all the prescription kind!) Congrats on #100 and I wish I would have remembered to call in to the live cast!

Audras notthe only one who likes the spinny ship

Moore insisted that the Space Park (which he just calls “the ring ship”) not be destroyed, but only damaged, because he likes it very much. - Galactica wiki

Every time I hear him say “ring ship,” I think, “Uh, dude… SPINNY SHIP.” I guess that’s Alpaca Zealotry speaking.

Hey guys,

Thanks for 100 great podcasts. Having you and the whole GWC community to talk to about BSG has defiantly made the show even better for me.

Happy 100th Podcast, GWC! It was awesome, as always, and I really wish I could’ve been there live. The music was great, both the flashback to Audra’s “Here in CIC” and David’s new creation.

Your handle is one of my favorites!

I also love deathbytray!

So many great handles- so little time!
