Sanity check. 14 now?
14 with 1 invite pending. Let’s try and get one more if we could. Then we should be good
Hopefully this counts as confirmation. I’ll probably end up doing a pre draft auto picker as I’m sure the timezone will not be good for me. I don’t mind. I baggsie the wooden spoon award
I sent you a PM with my e-mail, hopefully I am not too late.
Nah you’re the pending invite mentioned above, it should be waiting in your email
So a 16 team league?
brace self (:
Edit: I’m not complaining. Just prepping myself mentally this time. I’m cool with it.
Is that draft editor as evil as it looks? It appears the only option for ordering is to drop someone to last place.
There are two versions of the draft editor. One is flash based that’s pretty-fied and polished. The other is html based and it is barebones. I used the flash one.
I am not what you mean be dropping someone to last place. On the flash version last year, I could drag and drop players into the order I wanted. Unfortunately, the documentation is a little lacking.
Edit: Some info.

Edit edit:
I think I get your confusion. When you select a player, he goes to the bottom of your Player Queue/Pick Queue. Once the player is in your Queue, you can drag and drop their names to change the order. That make sense or am I still misunderstanding you?
Right. So I can’t easily move, say, Vick down a few notches before the draft starts?
You can arrange your picks any way you wish until you or someone else picks the player/players you want. There’s a lot of flexibility.
Using this as an example, you can move Tony Romo to #1 or #6, or any where in between by dragging and dropping his name in the queue.
But only once the draft starts, correct? I’m trying to edit my draft list now.
I spent ten minutes looking for where you can edit your draft picks.
You’re talking about “Pre-Draft Player Rankings”. Finally found it.
Umm… I’m able to drag and drop names by left clicking the row (where there’s no text) and moving them up or down…
Edit: You are talking about “Edit Pre-Draft Player Rankings” right? What page are you looking at?
They call it like three different things on the site, but that’s it.
OK, I can move them around now! Thanks. Some funky stuff happens with rankings when you focus on positions. I’ll have to spend some time on this.
I’m glad we finally got on the same page (literally).
Spend some time on it, but don’t become too invested in or attached to it. You’ll have 15 other owners competing against you, and you’ll have no way of knowing your position in the draft until an hour before draft.
Everything can look fine five minutes before the draft starts. Then, all your ranking work (and theory crafting) can be shot to hell in as little as two rounds (or even one round). With 16 owners, the top 32 players will likely be snatched just like that after two rounds. After that, the likelihood of your top 5 or even top 10 choices being left aren’t high.
To practice and manage your expectations, you may want to try a few mock drafts if you can find some with 16 owners.
tl;dr: Work on it, but expect the unexpected. Make sense?
I’m being stupid but how do i get there.
Oh yeah. I’m just trying to tweak it in case I’m not available for the draft. Managing the auto pick strategy is probably more important in that case.
That isn’t available until the actual draft. You want to go to your “My Team” page, and click “Edit Pre-Draft Player Rankings”. The link is to the right of your “helmet” in the middle. You’ll possibly want to click “Edit Autopick Strategy” located in the same area and mess around with that as well.
Lemme know if you don’t see it.
I cannot disagree with that.
I’ve camped the mock draft lobby for a few hours now and looks like they mostly have 8, 10, and 12 owner drafts. Might have to make our own to practice 16 or something. ):
I’ve never done a live draft before (Just played in autopicks) so I played a few mock drafts, and even with 12 people I learned a TON. I have a strategy now and have learned to avoid a few pitfalls, and I also see the importance of actually being present for the draft. There’s just no way to predict what you’ll need in round 5. The tools they give you aren’t good enough to compensate for everything.
I strongly suggest to everybody in the league, to do several mock drafts and figure out at least some form of strategy, and even more than that I suggest you try your hardest to make it to the live draft. I know I will
Uh oh. The Force is strong with this one. d:
