QBs consistently are like 8 in the top 10 of points scored man
Looking forward to the draft tonight. I will be about 15 minutes late because of a parent-teacher conference tonight. I have set my auto-draft and will be online as soon as it is possible.
Draft order has been made. I’m number 9… Oh well, I can’t complain after being 1st last year.
I would post the order, but I’m too lazy to type them out. So, go check them out!
11th. Ew.
Huh. Bunch of my picks are Probables. If I could have seen those on the draft screen, i might have chosen differently.
In a league where passing TD’s are only worth 4 points, it’s hard ot take a QB early, but after the first 8 or so, there’s a certain drop-off that’s hard to ignore. In most leagues QBs start going in the second or third round, but as the NFL continues to promote passing, Rodgers, Brees, and Manning have been moving well into the first round.
Looking forward to playing with you all. This draft took a lot of thought and calculation. I realized that if 13 teams have two defenses, just two, there are only SIX total defenses left, so if I have one and I’m playing matchups, it can get awful thin real fast. Deep benches in a deep league makes for very interesting games.
Also, I wanted to try the aerial attack style of drafting that some people have tried this year, but I found that RB’s were going so fast that I couldn’t totally commit to that. Also, having the #4 pick means I need to pick from one of the Top 5 RB’s that are still available. Still, I’m pretty thin at the position. And I’m banking on Cadillac Williams and Arian Foster doing well, with Michael Turner staying healthy (though I was able to get his handcuff late in case he busts).
I also had to draft a few players over others of interest because of Byes or just being on the same team. I almost had five or six Texans.
I like my team at WR for depth. After Wayne there’s a drop, but I feel pretty deep there. And I like my QB’s, even though Schaub may have been a bit of a stretch.
Whoo hoo! Renamed to the Talyn Starbursts. Keeping my Abbrv as cart so i’m identifiable.
Tempted to do White Star Hyper or some such though.
I had forgotten about the 14 teams and only 32 availabel defenses. I only chose them early because I had such a late draft pick. I needed a good defense to make up for lower QB, RB, and WR choices.
Ah, a powerful yet troubled soul.
Ah, we got Flacco as QB, so I’m happy. I like that I’m co-piloting this time around. Should be interesting.
He’s underrated. Dude has never had an Anquan Boldin to throw to. I’m thinking another big step for him this year. The Ravens just look beastly. This is their best chance to win another Super Bowl, as far as I can tell.
Yeah, I know pre-season doesn’t mean shit, but damn if they aren’t looking good. They can do screen passes and everything!
Donovan McNabb.
The Football gods have once again blessed me with Donovan McNabb. I’ve been playing Fantasy Football for the past 5 years. Every year, Donovan McNabb. So frakkin weird. I thot hanging in a new league…
Oh well. Donovan McNabb.
I always end up with Chris Cooley lol
I have no idea whether I have a good team or not…Just have to see
Happy opening week of the NFL everyone! We’re having wings on SUnday to celebrate.
My team rocks! Go Rage!!! Don’t worry, you needn’t let the Wookiee win, I’ll win anyway. Here’s to collective ass kicking!
XXOO-
EZ
I think I get it now. Teams are awarded points based on how tightly they hug a small piece of pig skin.
Right?
Right?
Yes. Also, they have to hide from other players until they get into the safety zone. Then they do a little dance and someone else gets a turn.
You get four tries to move the pig ten yards, or you have to give it to the other team. You score by moving it to the other end of the field, or kicking it between the two sticks.
That’s basically it. The devil, as always, is in the details.
