GWC 1st Annual Nat'l Meetup: March 20-22, 2009 (Frisco, TX)

Don’t you feel like a complete bad ass when you wear them? I sure do.

Lucky duck! I got an email from “Quantum View” today for a shipping notice…I thought “Dog Tags!” But no it’s just notice that the power drill I ordered for my Dad’s b-day was shipping. :frowning:

You make me dizzy.

I have no idea where Paris, TX is, but I know the movie. So I was equally confused.

It’s like saying “Georgetown on the Potomac.”

Still and all, welcome aboard. (But be aware that your callsign will be mushmouth.)

That’s been known to happen.

As opposed to Georgetown, Texas? :stuck_out_tongue: We have one of those too. Pretty much, you name it, we got it in Texas. Lotsa space, lotsa towns to name, not so much originality…

Georgetown? We’ve got one of those in Massachusetts too! Although it’s so far north it’s essentially in New Hampshire.

I looked up the average annual temps today and found THIS. Obviously, you’ll want to check 5-7 days before leaving for actual weather predictions of temps, but I thought this was a good place to start, when thinking about what to pack.

I also found this visitors’ map.

Looks like I’ll be wearing shorts and a t-shirt the whole time!
50 degrees… if only it was that nice here.

It’s 73 right now.

not cool, wait very cool, just not fair  looks like ill only be packing shorts n wifebeaters… cant wait

Sounds gaw-geous. Can’t wait!

Thanx smirk

Yea! Can’t wait for some warmer temps that week.

Shuddddup!!! =P It better still be that warm during the meetup!

Hey, this is Texas. It could be snowing that weekend. Or, it could be snowing that Thursday and 75 on Friday. :stuck_out_tongue:

It could at that…but I was thinking more about having to worry about tornadoes since that season will be starting very soon. Especially for Texas.

Wouldn’t lose any sleep over that really.

I know some people in Texas are so used to them that they don’t even pay attention to the warnings anymore, but I’ve only ever seen three in my whole life. It’ll be good. Besides, there are no trailer parks with a mile or two of the hotel (unless they are really small).

OK, I’m on the vacation wait list for those days. But just in case I don’t get off for those days, what time will the party be over? I live in Lewisville, TX btw.

Well I won’t lose sleep over it but living in the north end of tornado alley I pay attention to the warnings. I have relatives that lost everything in one years ago. Thank you for letting me know there are no trailer parks nearby, at least I won’t feel like I’m sitting next to a big ole bullseye!
