If we have a shirt it would be one way to know we are part of the crew. I still have a fear that I will be standing next to people I have been talking to for years and not know it. I have all the pictures I could find on my iPod but I think shirts would be better.
Yup, I was meaning my previous comment for the people that want a shirt for the meetup that aren’t actually going to be there.
Not sure when I would wear the shirt though.

Just called again, and they’re going to expand the size of our meetup block! Looks like I’ll be able to book a room, awaiting their confirmation email/phone call.

We’re approaching the T-30 day point, which is pretty exciting (to me, at least)!
A few quick updates:
RE: Room Reservations
As you’ve heard, we’ve filled the initial small block of rooms they reserved for us. The hotel has agreed to add a few, and FWIW I feel pretty confident they’ll add more yet if we need 'em. So don’t feel like you can’t come if you haven’t booked already. I’m pretty sure there’s still room.
That said, if you’re planning on coming, booking sooner instead of later is a good idea. Knowing how many rooms you’ve reserved (and how many of you have RSVP’d) will help us a lot with planning the last few events for the weekend. And having your plans down pat will save $$.
RE: Confirmation
It’s probably early to tell you this, but look for an email/call from us around the T-two-week point to confirm that everyone who RSVP’d is still coming. We may need to add a dinner seating for Saturday night, but we’re not sure yet. So if we’re anywhere near to the single-seating numbers, we’ll check with everyone to make sure things are still on for everyone on the list.
RE: Swag
Sean’s happily churning away on the special 2009 GWC Meetup swag to make sure it gets to the store in time for you to order stuff to bring with you. I’m also working on him to put some stuff in there for those of you who’d like to come but can’t make it. Sean and I have been a bit overloaded lately, but we’re wroking on it.
And finally…
Holy crap I’m really excited about this. Every time someone RSVPs I get more excited. It’s been fun meeting a few GWCers at a time at past meetups, but this is going to be crazy!
