“He’s never met a princess. Only queens.”
Yeah. He won that slap-fest.
Such an interesting view of the behind-the-scenes Hollywood of the “good old days”. So many “open secrets”, with such an intricate dance involved with just how open those secrets really were…
That guy really looks like Karloff!! Wow!! Makeup.
Great casting for Karloff. If he hadn’t been dead for several decades, you could believe it was really him.
And he’s in a towel…
Almost as if he’d planned it.
I thot there would be a scene of the Army love being shot in the face or something.
That’s how scary brilliant minds are. I wouldn’t know.
Wait.
How do think he got all those guys in the pool?
On Memorial Day I was remembering my grandfather as I often do. He fought in WWII. Amazing the psycholgical damage war does, so traumatic.
So did mine. He never talked about it. Ever.
Except for stories about how he killed Hitler.
I just figured cuz he was a big time Hollywood director.
Genius like that is scary, though. I try not to be intimidated by people like that but it’s difficult.
“Are you my mummy?”
My grandfather was with the Army at Auschwitz. He told my mother. Odd that, he never spoke of it to anyone but his daughter-in-law.
Now it’s gone really art film.
Is that bad?
I really enjoyed this Badger. Not what I expected. The twisted scene with the mask was engrossing.
No. Not at all. I think it’s a good way to accent the ending. You’re not really sure about the symbollism until the ending so it’s nicely placed.
I suppose it’s all a matter of who’s around when they’re ready to talk about it. AFAIK, my grandfather never told any stories about the war (except the Hitler thing, which my gullible cousin believed) to anyone. My uncle who was in Vietnam never talked about it either, even to my mom, his twin sister, other than to say that he would never – could never – tell anyone he cared about what he experienced.
