He’s exactly as I imagined him, too Love this scene, especially with Ned watching from the steps as Arya keeps being pronounced “dead” time and again in the practice.
“All men are made of water, did you know that? If you pierce them, the water leaks out, and they die.”
Boy. Girl. You are a sword, that is all.
Indeed.
Not really a spoiler. Seasons are of indeterminate length. Sometimes summer can last a few years, sometimes a decade or longer. Winters can be equally long.
When the series starts, the summer has lasted nine years. And a long summer means a long, hard winter.
The sounds and the way his face changed were downright chilling.
Last scene was my favorite, with the acting and the music. Hope we’ll see Arya fight Joffrey or someone else in the 1st book.
I love seeing this so much. The GF and I have boken, and have tangled a few times. If I had a daughter it’d be Arya.
It sounded like there were more swords clashing and the sound of battle that he was remembering. I was expecting them to flash back to Robert’s rebellion, but then it ended.
Damn. It’s so frustrating that they’re only a third or so of the way through the very first book.
K, I’m gonna get back to sleep. Til next week.
I took it more as a vision of the future. Who wants to see their little girl fighting for her life?
Ned wants to make sure she’s prepared. After all, winter is coming.
that’s what I got. At first it was fun to see his daughter enjoying being taught something she loves and something he is also good at. But as he watched her fail as she learns, he was seeing what would actually happen to her in a real fight, and it all became very scary.
Going to pause at the credit’s end. Holler when you’re all set, kids.
So we start after the opening credits?
I’d say so…gives everyone time to sync up.
Ready, but I’ll have to take off around 1:20 for my hair taming.
So… Time check?
Before and after digito-graphalizing, or it’s just a humorous anecdote.
Somebody say “Go” !
