That wake is nicely creepy.
Was anyone able to make out a face on the heart tree?
The barber there is the fight coordinator for the series.
I love Arya. “Move!”
Tyrion’s introduction is an odd one. It seems to imply that there’s a whorehouse in Winterfell.
Apparently an early version of the script had this scene in Kings Landing, which would make more sense.
Viserys and Dany’s scene was met with some disappointment, because it’s not creepy/cruel enough. I think they made the right choice here.
Oh wow. Our first glimpse of Unsullied!
The Starks are pretty careless with those candles.
Sarah Connor makes a great bitch.
Sorry I’m late. Connection issues.
“How did he get so fat?”
I know nothing about the books. Is this messenger significant?
The actor was great in BBC’s Being Human.
It’s odd that they flipped Caet and the Maester’s positions about Ned taking the Hand job (er…)
Jason Momoa looks so imposing there.
The blonde girl (can’t remember her name) is downright stunning. Her creepy brother was great in Doctor Who.
Which messenger?
“A Dothraki wedding without at least three deaths is considered a dull affair.”
The older guy who brought the message from her sister.
Well, we’re off to a good Dothraki start…
Dragon’s eggs. Beautiful props. I love the implication of actual dragons. Can’t wait to see that if there are.
The Maester. He’s sort of the secular advisor to Ned/Winterfell. He’s a second tier player.
“There is no word for ‘thank you’ in Dothraki.”
A culture without the concept of gratitude. Fascinating. :eyebrow:
