Managed to watch it last night (somewhat… delayed.) I’ve been bugging The GF to read this for a year, and she’s resisted (not much of a fantasy fan.) Got her to watch this episode and now she’s hooked. She keeps bugging me for spoilers and I just point at the book. 
Didn’t come to my mind to compare these two in that matter. But here we didn’t saw the killing, so point for BSG.
