GalaxyRanger's Excellent Adventure

Waco’s about halfway in between Austin and Dallas.

Then again the Crue would probably just rather continue on to Austin…

You do realize that there is Disneyland in California, don’t you?

Wow. You have been away a while, haven’t you?

I’m not sure where yet, or when, but if I don’t manage to somehow get to you somewhere along your trip, I’ll be really disappointed in myself.

It slipped my mind momentarily…

That would be awesome.

Bah, nevermind. Had my dates swapped. Was going to say you would be near Atlanta during Dragon Con but I think you would already be further down the road. Several GWC’ers going to DC this year I think.

Disneyland in Anaheim is smaller even than the Euro Disneyland. If you’re gonna fly all the way to American, you might as well try Disney World in Orlando.

Ah, GalaxyRanger’s Excellent Adventure! I look forward to your accounts of it. Take lots of pictures and share with us!

Hopefully get to meet you during your (short) stay in NYC

It’s going to be the rolling GWC meetup. Pix are mandatory.

Same for me. But depending on the date (and what’s going on at work at that time) that GR & GF are going to be in Memphis…well could buzz on down I55. With a stop in St. Louis maybe?

GR…what’s your ETA for Memphis???

Missing Florida are you? So the next trip you can stay in Florida the entire time. Your trip is very ambitious. You are traveling a great deal of milage.

Well, to be honest, my idea of a culturally worthwhile trip doesn’t really include Disneyland.

Count on it!

That would be cool!

Absolutely.

August 27th. I’ll post the complete itinerary shortly.

That’s for sure, last time I counted it was 4,500 miles. But an experienced travel agency booked the trip for us and if they think, it’s doable, I’m pretty sure we can do it. We’re young and ambitious.

are you going to bring your arms with you? (hubba-hubba!)

DOOO EEEEET!!

Dang it. :frowning: I won’t be able to go to Memphis to meet you on the 28th. Committed to help crew for a hot air balloon that night/weekend. Sorry GR. Hope you get to meet lots of the other GWC’ers during your trip!

I will be in Baltimore the weekend you will be there - so if the Baltimore/DC crew wants to get together on the 23rd I would be up for it.

I have a party that I need to be at on the 22nd, that I will need to be at (my Dad’s 60th B-day party).

Wow, we’re both SO excited, we can hardly think of anything else and it’s still another 2 and a half months. It’s like the biggest vacation I’ve ever taken. And there’s so much to think of and organize. But hey, seriously, if I can bring anything for you, let me know.

Incidentally, we’re getting our rental car from National. Did anyone do business with them before? Are they good?

I haven’t rented from National but maybe this link with reviews will give you some idea of other people’s experiences with them:
