Hey guys, thought you’d like to know that there is a Firefly Marathon on Skiffy this Friday. I don’t know the exact time, but its great to see it on.
Plus, if you are lucky enough to have Skiffy in HD, I hear that Firefly will be aired in it!
I’ve been meaning to do a Firefly/Serenity marathon for the last couple of years. I just can’t seem to find the time. It take about 12 hours. I’ve done the Lord of the Rings Extended editions in a row (that’s tough going) so I think it could be done.

Looks like they are only showing 4 Firefly episodes on Skiffy on Friday (3 if you count the 2 hour Serenity as one.) But no matter, I think I’ve got most of 'em taped from previous Firefly marathons. I never watched Firefly when it was on the air. But I became a huige fan watching it on DVD. Serenity was the first episode I watched…even though I don’t know is that even aired when the show was on…or at least it never aired first as a pilot.
I apologize for this “thread drifty” question, but has anyone watched Andromeda? I haven’t.
Is it any good? I see Skiffy doing a marathon of Andromeda tommorrow too.
I never like Andromeda that much, I watched the first five or six episodes and ocasionally caught an episode thinking “This hasn’t been cancelled yet?”
From comments I have heard from fans of the show, it went downhill in the later seasons when Kevin Sorbo became executive producer and turned it into Hurcules in Space.
But hey, it’s a marathon, give it a watch for free and tell us what you think. I might have seen only the bad episodes.
Well, after years of Battlestar, Babylon 5 and Star Trek fans telling me how much they enjoyed Firefly, I finally got around to watching the pilot this Friday. I wasn’t disappointed. I really loved the style, the mixture of Western and Sci-Fi, with a little Chinese thrown in. I would totally be up for a rewatch, I should be able to get the DVDs from my library.
It started off decent, kind of like a new spin on Star Trek, but it went downhill pretty fast. It wasn’t horrible in the later years, but I gave up on it.
