FX's Louie

FX’s Louie is pretty frickin’ sweet. One of those FX shows that’s tailor-made for an actor’s distinct personality. In this case, it’s Louis CK. For years, I’ve heard rumblings that the guy was funny. It’s true.

In the show, he plays a stand-up comedian who’s a single father in NYC. Sounds pretty standard, but it has its own angle. Check it out.

I’ve been meaning to check this out. Louis CK is one of my favorite currently performing stand-up comedians, and I’d like for him to have a show that lasts for a while. Unfortunately, I think it’s on at the same time as my summer writing class and I keep forgetting that I have DVR.

I have just found this show and I LOVE IT! Louis CK’s comedy is both screwball and profound. It’s like Seinfeld but more impactful. I love how he accepts his nature yet is contemplating why he is the way it is. I hope th is show sticks around and wins award after award.

Been watching this from time to time on Hulu, and its pretty damn good. If you like The Office but think it needs more surealism then this show is for you.

This show is beyond brilliant. I keep meaning to write a blog post about Louis. Highly recommended, Solai stamp of approval!

Oh, another thing is that it is filmed in New York City, and they make some really great use of locations. Lots of familiar places even for this guy who lives out in the suburbs.
