I’ve finally watched the finale, and I am…a bit disappointed. I think the setup for next season is definitely very interesting and no doubt I’m there next season to see what the frak is going to happen (and how they’re going to sort out this whole Peter thing), but the episode itself?..I don’t know. Not the strongest episode, huh? Emotionally I didn’t feel attached to it at all, which seemed to be the key to enjoying the episode. But not even seeing Broyles with a freaky eye, Olivia getting shot in the head, funeral, etc, etc, had any weight for me, because in my head, I was thinking, hurry up and move it along, so I can see what’s happening in Earth 1 and 2 after the machine started because obviously this future isn’t going to stick - it just felt like it was trying too hard to be this heavy emotional thing or something, so ended up falling utterly flat for me - and I’m far too invested in Over There and its characters (and Our Earth as well) to care about this “future” bit. Maybe I’m just a robot.
