NO BÉARLA 2: Would you recognise Klingon from Irish?

I found this guy on youtube hosting a bunch of videos about the Irish language (I think he could be an activist). It’s both entertaining yet informative Michael-Moore style commentary about the state of the Irish language in Ireland.

And there’s no english at all.

He was Captain Morgan Bateson of the USS Bozeman in the episode “Cause and Effect”.

He was indeed. And I can also recomend this book which follows up what happens to Capt Bateson and the USS Bozeman living in the 24th century, 90 years from their own time.

If you listen closely in First Contact during the battle that comes over the Enterprise E’s speaker right before Picard orders the ship to join the battle and leave the neutral zone someone gives a direction to the Bozman and then you hear the voice of Kelsey Grammer saying “Acknowledged.”

The Bozeman is also mentioned in Generations by Data when he and Picard are in Astrometrics. The ship had to make a course correction due to the change of gravitational forces after Soran blows up the Amagosa star.

I think it goes without saying that Kelsey Gramer fills the requisite for a sci-fi star! Did anyone forget he played The Beast in X-men? :cool:

I read that a long time ago when it forst came out. The only thing I remember is that they solved some problem using “old fashioned” starfleet techniques.
