Which would you rather have. Both have certain advantages.
Its a close call. I mean 4 arms would have major advantages in the lovin department. And i could quadrupole fist beers. But with a tail i would help keep my pants up so i could avoid belts. Also i think it would be fun to hang by a my tail…

Tail is cool, but I’m not giving up my forearms. That would just look weird.
I have to go for the arms. Just imagine eating at the same time that you play Mass Effect and drink a beer. As George Costanza would say : and now for the trifecta!

Well it is a prehensile tail so you can do anything a monkey could do with its tail. Up to and including holding a beer i would imagine with the proper training.
I vote 4 arms. The benfits are pretty obvious. Also I know I’d slam the door a bunch on my tail.

My wife’s told me on many occasions that I have too many arms. And that joke just begs my 13-year-old version of self to say, “I’ve already got a tail between my legs.” giggity-giggity
To be honest, the only benefit to having a tail I’ve seen was in the file ‘Avatar’. That was a fully-functional tail. So, if I can have that tail then I vote tail. I vote tail…giggity Awwwright!
Four arms. I can imagine a tail getting stepped on a lot.
What prompted this poll anyway?
I was watching Discovery Channels “LIFE” and saw a lizard that has a prehensile tail. Oprah told me that they used it as an extra limb. Thus it popped into my head how awesome it would be to have a tail.
How about the best of both worlds: Four arms and prehensile nose?
