I just picked up lost odyssey, and its pretty damn good, it borrowed a lot from final fantasy 7 in terms of game play, but the graphics are good, voice acting for the most part very good, i’m just getting into it but the story seems solid, Its worth a try.
I will have to check it out. I saw it didn’t get the greatest of reviews, but it can’t be any worse than Eternal Sonata or Blue Dragon, for the 360 (I fell asleep playing both, literally, and I love rpgs too!).
Aye its supposed to be a pretty solid JRPG, really the only complaints I’ve heard with it so far has to do with some backstory told through text(not a big plus for some of the ADD shooter fanatics these days i guess) and the fact that it prettymuch has straightforward oldschool gameplay(like almost every final fantasy until recently). Both of those issues however are a non-issue with me as I love indepth backstory no matter how its presented, and I still have no problem at all playin my RPG’s oldschool
Unfortunately my only issue is I dont have a 360 which seems to be an important one ^^;;
I got this game a few days ago and I love it. It seems most RPGs nowadays spend too much time catering to casual gamers, and have lost a lot of their challenge. With lost odyssey I have been killed fighting regular random encounters, and I died three times on the second boss fight. Challenge=fun!
LO is really, really good. I mean if a game has you emotional attached by the end of the first disc you know it’s good. Plus the dreams…so frakkin sad
