Well, kids are stupid, but they get less stupid as they grow older, so that’s fine with me*. Stupid adults get stupider with time, so that bothers me more. More problematically, most stupid adults vehemently deny that they are stupid, and many even believe they are smart. This causes all sorts of confusion.

Within some contexts, that suspicion is most certainly true, and in some other situations, it is certainly false. I have often been accused of unwarranted, uninformed elitism. Some of the times, the accusations were absolutely right and I was wrong. Some other times the accusers were idiots.
Rule of the thumb is, if everyone in the room thinks I’m being stupid, and I’m not in YouTube comment section, then I’m probably being stupid.
