Let me say how awesome it looks, Most of this looks like its from cut scenes and those always look awesome when Square is involved but the actual in Engine fighintg that they show is equally stunning. I cant wait for this to come out and am really glad that i wont HAVE to get a PS 3 for it. (i probably will own one by then but thats not the point)
Looks good; but it better considering how long this things been in production. We’ll be enjoying it in about one and a half BSG hiatus’s
I’m crossing my fingers for this after FFXII disappointed me so heavily. I can’t say I’m terribly optimistic, but I’m still holding out hope.
I actually really liked FF XII but it appears that they are going back to something resembling more of the Active time batle
I liked the battle system, but I thought they should have had presets for different situations. The story was good, but ultimately, it didn’t feel like they used it to its full potential. Still a good game though.
I have been playing these since FF1, so I am looking forward to the next one.
I hope it’s good - though I can’t exactly afford a PS3 right now.
I just started playing FFXII actually and I rather like it. The story seems rather inane but the battle system is pretty cool.
Its coming out on Xbox 360 as well in case you have one of those…if not they are cheaper…currently…than a PS3 but there should be a price drop soonish on PS3
got to say 13’s production values, just incredible; the story telling is actually a pretty good jump from previous games. but i have to say… there are some truly skeevy (sp) moments like moments where your like what the hells wrong with the people at square enix but a really good game so far
FF XIII is amazing so far, the battle system is very fun, especially once you get further along and it really starts opening up. I’ve been playing the game pretty much non-stop since I picked it up at the midnight launch. I have three words to describe my favorite part of the game: Lightning is awesome. Seriously, I love Lightning, she cracks me up but I think a lot of the humor I find in it is I picture Liara from ME saying some of the stuff Lightning does and I just lose it (both characters have the same voice actor) oh and the Chocobo chick is pretty awesome as well.
I havent played any thing in that series since FFX, but this makes me want to start again.
The voice actor for Lightning being the same as the voice actor for Liara is the main reason I was so excited for this game since I’ve never really be a fan of the FF series. And her voice work is fantastic, so much so that I’m hoping Bioware gives her a lot of dialogue for ME3. Ali Hillis is now my second favorite voice actor right after Jennifer Hale.
I’m loving this game far, 29 hours in. The combat system is amazingly fun which is good because man are there some drawn out boss fights and one that feels fairly impossible to beat when you are fighting it (took me 11 tries to get past it). Once you get past the 3rd chapter combat becomes so much fun and when you get to the point where you can select your own party it’s even more so.
I can understand why some folks wouldn’t and didn’t like 13. I don’t know though, I dug the crap out of it though.
well I like it great battle system, i’m taking my time with the game cause we’ll likely see 14 in a decade or so on a ps5. My one moment of ohh hell this can’t be what they meant to do? was the sarah character i mean really married? maybe in about 6 years she could be married till then Lightning should throw snow in some kind jail…
but beside that a really great JRPG.
Hell, I don’t remmember if they gave an age for her. Maybe she was just pettite?
