Fallout 3

At the risk of posting on my own post – just wondering how everyone’s game is going. I am especially interested in Mr. Lister’s plan to kill everyone in the wastland as a super evil wanderer.

I finished but went back to continue exploring – still the paragon of virtue, as always.

I finished my good character. I have been meaning to get back to it but have been busy doing other things. I will probably get back on it once the DLC comes out which should be shortly. I am still looking forward to playing my Evil character.

this game has to be the best rpg ever… or @least for me… i wasnt a big rpg player, but when i sit down to play fallout 3, itr easily becomes a 5-9hr excursion… KEEP GAMIN

only 5-9 hrs…hell I played for over 60 hrs but i did almost every side quest before i did the main quest

yeah i havent even atrted the main quest either… i justlike bumbling around the postapocolyptic expanses… good times… n i meant a 5-9hr session… i cant remember the last time i gamed for over 24hrs straight… thats commitmwnt

The game is a lot of fun, though I still liked Oblivion better. In fact, if you turn off the radio they play some of the background music from Oblivion.

I think I have done every quest save one. I am flailing around on low graphics and can’t find what I need to find. In high graphics the little things I need to find shine rather obviously. In low graphics, I have to pick up every stupid thing and check it…one…by…one…ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

It’s worth going ahead in the story a bit as you get quite a lot of nice things from the story that will help you in your exploring. However, if someone looks at you and says something along the line of “make sure you’re ready for this” then translate that into “make sure your ready to end your explorations”. That said, if you save often there is almost nothing that can’t be overcome.

So this game was heavily recommended and I bought it. I truly hated it for the first 5 or so hours. I really don’t like RPGs and couldn’t seem to find anything on the map that related to the mission (I didn’t know I had to take the subway!).

BUT…it grew on me. It grew on me a lot. And I totally “get it” it and love it now.

Right now I’m level 19 Saint. I passed the game but didn’t know if I could continue after passing it with the new armor and such so I just loaded a previous save.

I also have Fawkes as a follower. I want to find the dog but don’t know where to look.

Also, can I have two humanoid followers (Fawkes plus a ghoul or paladin)??

P.S. I haven’t visited the forums since Revelations aired so I missed a bunch of everyone’s gamertags. I hope you don’t mind me adding you all!

oops. See below.

You have to chose Fawkes OR the Paladine. However, you can have a follower PLUS the dog, when you find him.
If I remember correctly, Dogmeat is south and a bit east-ish of Minefield. Walk around looking for a junk/scrap yard.
. Dogmeat can die. You can use your simpaks to heal him if you get to him before he bites it. Saving is your friend. I brought Dogmeat to my house and left him there. Couldn’t bear the risk.

Awesome! Thanks for the info.
I have Fawkes and he never takes any damage so I would have treated Dogmeat the same and he would have totally died on me. You saved him!

You’re welcome. Nice to know I saved another Dogmeat.

I tried to save my Dogmeat. But he got trapped in a sewer or something and got locked in between save screens. Then died. It was a fairly brutal fight i lost him in so i decided not to reload and save him. But i totally avenged his death.

NO ONE screws with the Vault dwellers puppy and gets away with it!

i havent found this damn dog yet… i want a puppy to raom the waste with me…

DLC is out!

I tried my Rambo type character with a female character I named Jane Rambo. It was a lot of fun. High Melee and Big Guns. There is just something satisfying about wading into a group of Raiders and using the flame thrower, then pulling out a sword to finish them off. However, I liked my sneaky sniper with high explosives better.

In the scrap yard, here is a map to everything.

Can i get a Huzzah!!! HUZZAH!!!

Hello fellow wastelanders. Anyone else playing The Pitt?

It took me about five hours to finish—though I could have finished it in forty five minutes if I hurried through it. How did everyone finish it?
I sided with the slaves. Shame what happens to the baby, but i felt I could do the most good by helping the slaves, and the raiders were dicks.
I really need to get The Pitt. I’m currently on a GTA IV kick, though, so I probably won’t for a couple more weeks.

How does it compare to Anchorage? Better, worse, or same?

Personally, I liked the Pitt better. Like I said, you can rush through it very fast, and if you do, you probably will be wondering why you wasted the money. If you are a thorough kind of a person that like exploring and looking for hidden Easter eggs and the full story, you will definitely like the pitt better, and it will give you more playing time. I still missed a lot of stuff i need to go back and look for. If straight up combat is more your thing, you probably won’t like it.

I finally picked up Fallout 3 again and played thru the first two bouts of DLC and am now playing thru Broken Steel.

So far Broken Steel is by far the best. I really dug doing the new quest to figure out what happens to the water going to Megaton. It was one of first time recently in a game where i thot outside the box to complete the quest and it worked exactly as i planned. I am also very interested to see how it works if i decided to nuke Megaton and also kill all the humans in 10 penny tower.

Also Broken steel upped the difficulty dramatically. The new Super Mutant Overlords are some tough enemies. I have used the Fat Boy on numerous occasions to take them out. I am about to start doing the actual main missions for Broken Steel.

I have one question and i haven’t been able to find it on line anywhere. Where is Fawkes. He followed be up to the point i went to Pitt. I thot he was supposed to wait for me by the Citadel but i can’t find him again anywhere. I miss my Super Mutant pal
