This is just a thought that may not mean anything, but could the writes make a parallel between the explosive in the Miniseries Caprica Apartment sequence where Six Seems to shield Baltar, and the Explosion on Earth in “Sometimes a Great Notion” with Ellen and Tigh??? That end scene between Ellen and Tigh when the explosive went off put that idea into my head as I was watching it for the first time…
