A lot of the scenes with Merlin were campy. I’m not sure if it was scripted that way or was the actor’s take on it, but it does sort of break up the tension, IMO.
I should probably do something about dinner–thanks, guys. loads of fun, as usual
Alright question for everyone: What is the best source to read about Arthur? You know the best version?
Ditto.
baltar
Good Knight, Lady D. (see what I did there.)
I’ve only read “Once and Future King” and I think that’s the least dry from what I understand of the other more ponderous versions.
It definitely has its cheese factor, which I think (hope) is at least partially intentional… I liked it because I had fond memories as a kid being the first real violent and nudie R movie I saw as a kid. But the more times I watched, the more the story comes through dispite the cheese and I can like it on a couple of levels from the baser sex up through the cheese to the higher epic story…
This movie is based on Le Morte d’Arthur. Do you mean as a general educational resource or pure entertainment?
Nite. Knight. Night. Lady D.
Oh no you didn’t. Haha.
There was some discussion about the different takes on the character of Merlin, but I can’t remember the details now… I guess you’ll have to watch it for yourself…
I guess educational, since I’m looking for the mytholgical themes and analysis and such.
Well, good knight:) all. I had fun. I think I need to give this computer a wee rest.
Nite, D!
Thanks for your help.
