Anytime between 11 AM Eastern/8 AM Pacific and 5 PM Eastern/2 PM Pacific
Enjoy watching space combat? Enjoy seeing gorgeous backdrops of space? Enjoy hearing commentators make fools of themselves? Want to hang out with fellow GWCers for a while? Then, the EVE Online Alliance Tournament is for you!

…this year we will broadcast not only the finals but all three weeks of matches LIVE via EVE TV from 14:50 GMT until 21:00 GMT each day in glorious High Definition. You can tune in here to watch those matches.
http://www.eveonline.com/events/alliances/tournament/t8/viewersd.asp is the link.
Be sure to choose “High Def (1500k)” from the “Choose Resolution” drop down menu on the lower left corner if your bandwidth can support it.
The tournament runs from 15:00 GMT/UTC until 21:00 GMT/UTC (11 AM Eastern/8 AM Pacific until 5 PM Eastern/2 PM Pacific). So, that’s 6 hours. You can look at http://at.eve-ic.net/8/?view=matches for the schedule. Folks should not feel obligated to show up from the start or stay until the very end. Feel free to drop by or leave anytime.
Keep in mind that most matches are between 4 and 15 minutes. They generally start every :00, :20, and :40 past the hour, so there’s a bit of lull between them. You can chat, mine, watch youtube videos of previous matches, etc., at those times. But, CCP (the developer of EVE Online) has been good at filling those times with random videos and in-game video feeds to keep people occupied.
Additionally if you have an active account, please join us in game in the “GWC” (without quotes) channel. But, I’ll keep an eye on this thread to answer questions and whatnot. Hopefully, others will as well. So, don’t feel intimidated or shy about asking basic (or even advanced) questions about the tournament or the game in general. It’s how we all learn.
Hope you’ll join us.
P.S. I don’t know what the rule is for game/MMO fraks, so please be kind (and let me know) if I’m overstepping some bound.
