What did y’all think of the Enterprise series?
I didn’t watch more than 6 episodes. I didn’t want to really. When I read about the Klingon DNA thing, I was really impressed. Good concept, well thought of. Largely though, I didn’t find Enterprise intriguing. It didn’t hold me enough. I think if it had been anything but Startrek, it would have flown a lot better…
I tried to get into Enterprise when it first came out, but quickly gave up on it - probably after 5 or so episodes. But I was bored one night and saw an Xindi eposide from the 3rd seasons and got back into it. Loved the Xindi arch and then the final seaons, nothing worth seeing in the first few seasons
Any way, I voted for better than Voyager - while I watched most weeks of Voyager, I found the writting of Enterprise better
seasons 1,2 and 4 were pretty good.
3 sucked (except for the episode with the old west humans)
I really liked some of the episodes, and I think that the episodes that I hated were really really bad.
Mostly it was more disapointing than bad… after DS9 how could they drop down to only doing this show? I thought that the mistakes of Voyager would have shown them… the problem is… I don’t think that they knew that voyager sucked!
There were some really interesting aspects to Enterprise and I think that some of the characters got developed really well - Reed comes to mind, and the man who played him was a really good actor. I loved the “should I call it a Reed alert” bit.
The T’pol storyline (as well as Tripps) also confused me. They really seemed to be going somewhere, and then it all just petered out. The back story on Vulcans was, no pun intended, fascinating.
Tripp really annoyed the crap out of me - if I closed my eyes it sounded like George Bush was on tv, I just couldn’t get over it.
I too loved the Xindi season long arc. I also loved the fact that the alien races they were up against weren’t all humanoid-or human-like. I can’t remember another episode in any of the series that was like that - and ST: TVH had whales, but we never got to see what was communicating with them, and I don’t remember any tanks of water for the water species at any of the many assemblies of races shown.
I loved the doctor too - my husband couldn’t stand him, but I loved episodes where he was a prominent figure.
I still liked Voyager better, but Enterprise definitely had better fitting uniforms 
Nothing beats DS9 and TOS for me, but the Mirror Universe episode towards the end of the series was… well, almost worth slogging through the series for.
