Enterprise @ CBS.com for a limited time

I’m not sure what the time frame is just yet but, for a limited time CBS.com is streaming full episodes of all four seasons of Star Trek Enterprise.

Awesome, thanks!

If you haven’t seen ‘In A Mirror, Darkly’, now’s the time! Berman/Bragga gave up on the show by Season 4 and turned their ‘talents’ elsewhere, leaving it with Manny Cotto. That dude actually loved Trek and put out some great mythology episodes during his brief tenure. I wish he had been given the reins earlier!

If you gave up on Enterprise because of how lackluster it was the first three years, season 4 is a good reason to revisit, and the episode I mention above is a great stand-alone one that doesn’t require other Enterprise eps to shine.

Especially the twin tie in with TOS.

The TOS tie-in was great and once again, Manny Cotto added to and enriched Trek instead of just milking it.

Hear! Hear! I would recommend diving right into Season 4. You can skip the first two episodes of that season (“Storm Front, Pts. 1 & 2”) and for Crom’s sake do not watch the finale (“These Are the Voyages…”). A part of me died watching that episode. I also wish Manny Cotto had had the reigns from the beginning.

It goes against what has been proven in terms of sales but Enterprise is the only “modern” Trek series I would consider owning in totality, at least on Blu-ray if they ever get around to it.

Fair enough the first couple of seasons were a mixed bag but then so were TNG, DS9 and Voyager but series 3 and 4 were stellar for very different reasons.

Really? I totally gave up and never looked back.

Really really?

Of course I hear about this once I’ve already got Enterprise at the top of my queue, and have gotten through season 1… but now I see a way to watch it faster!

Well I know how I’m spending my lunch breaks for the next week. I always liked the thought of Bakula as a more relaxed kind of captain (which is how he’s coming off after the first four episodes).

It’s also great to see the Federation in its infancy, instead of dominating the political, military, and technological scenes like they’re so often portrayed. But seriously, enough with the Vulcans already. They’re the elves of science-fiction: they know everything and think they’re better than everybody and people say they like them, but really they’re just annoying and you wish they’d go away.

Whereas I wish there were more episodes exploring the evolving relationship between Earth and Vulcan, and the role of Archer and T’Pol in it… but then again, I love the Vulcans.

They really should make a “Fan Collective” for some of the other species in the Trek Universe that explore their histories and cultures. I would put down money in an instant to buy a Romulan pack. Can’t wait for the Romulans to show up in Enterprise.

I wanted to see more of the crew interacting with each other and less of them reacting to danger of the week.

i hardly know some of the major characters…

I fell in love with the way Diane Duane wrote the Romulans in her novels which extended upon the culture that DC Fontana offered and nothing since TOS has done that race justice.
That is the only reason why I never took to Nemesis and had some basic issues with the Roms in Enterprise beyond the Earth/Rom war timeline.

Love the Fan Collectives:)
