According to a documentary show on American slang on History channel, “y’all” actually comes from olde English, as in “ye all” (plural).
Factoid aside, I thought this would be a fun activity thread to do :
Remember that GWC podcast intro that Chuck used to make? What if everyone sent in their own voice-overs (in mp3 format) of that same speech in each of their own regional English accents AND/Or mother tongue.
I don’t know about you, but for a language nerd like me, this is my idea of fun :p:cool: Can this be done?
