Ender is finally told the truth.
Ender is destroyed when he realizes he has destroyed an entire species.
Ender the Xenocide.
The novel is so much deeper.
Graff: “We won. That’s all that matters.”
Ender: “No. The way we win matters.”
Ender sees so much more about the Formics.
He can “think” to them.
Ender run out to the landscape to find something he guesses at.
Inside the Formic structure Ender finds the larval queen.
To make amends for the future he has stolen from them,
Ender will take the queen to a safe place to protect her.
After the Ender’s Game novel, is the sequel, Speaker For the Dead.
In the novel, after the War, Ender and Valentine leave Earth and travel the human populated planets. Ender returns to his original name of Andrew Wiggin and becomes, the Speaker for the Dead.
I liked this film. A good effort and pretty close to the novel.
Asa Butterfield was perfect as Ender.
Time to reread Ender’s Game.
Then Speaker For the Dead.
There’s so much to the Ender story. It’s such a short book, but would take a hefty mini-series to bring it all to the screen.
Kinda late for replying but had to say I really enjoyed the book. The movie felt more like a visual synopsis than the actual story to me
