Well, once again the acting & music is ignored

So once again, Sci-fi is good enough for the tech stuff, but they aren’t allowed at the big table. It’s days like these, I don’t know why I continue to hope they’ll wake up & smell the reality.

I’m with you. I’m rather upset that such a fantastic cast has received no Emmy’s during its run. I mean come on David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson snagged a few Emmy’s during the run of The X-Files why couldn’t Mary, Eddie and the gang get a shot.

i’m used to the Emmy’s meaning nothing… Happened with Buffy happened with firefly happened with BSG… Sad the cast doesn’t get the recognition they deserve… but thats why i haven’t watched the Emmy’s in about 6 years there petty much useless by my perspective.

I mean for gods sake antiques roadshow got nominated…

At least they were nominated for a brand-new category that the BSG webisodes are partially responsible for. Face of the Enemy, as solid as it was, probably won’t have a chance of beating out Dr. Horrible though.

I can’t remember the last time I watched any of these awards shows. One big sham.

And in fairness, I dont think it should. I love Dr. Horrible! And Captain Hammer too!

True. Dr. Horrible would win hands down, not only because it was awesome, but also because I think it’s helping the industry see how an internet show could work in their favour.

Now, if there’s a category for webseries inspired board games, I think the GWC BSG clue board would win it hands down.

I kind of expected them not to get any of the big noms (but I wish they did, most notably for Hogan, and to a lesser extent Mcdonnell and EJO, and the best drama), but I was surprised that the writers and Bear didn’t get a nom. And that, even when the emmys bloated their nominees to about 6 or even 7 per category, BSG still gets no love.

Have there been nominations for sci fi shows ever in the big categories (like best drama, and the actor noms)? Only X-files comes to my mind.

I don’t care much about the Emmys, but I have to say that it is a load of craaaaaaaaaaap that no one from the cast of BSG was nominated. Same goes for the music.
