I’ve been guilty of babbling about BSG on the termintorfiles forum. So, to be fair, I’m going to babble a bit on Terminator.
There are in fact, many similarities between the two shows, namely:

[li]Both shows are about humans creating machines that become self aware
[/li][li]On BSG, Cavil lobotomises the Raiders. In T2 (based on the novelization), Skynet flips a switch on its’ terminators to prevent them from being self-aware. (I think you’d get to see it on the Director’s cut of T2.)
[/li][li]In BSG universe, the religions focus on the cylic nature of time. In terminator, it’s time travel. and shrodinger’s cat.

I’ve picked up on this catchphrase from the Skynext podcast (the gentlemen who host the show are from the south, and they sound like they’re saying “skynecks”. no pun intended ~_~) and I think we BSGeeks should help spread it around too - Embrace the Paradox.
