Easiest prediction for a next episode, ever

Pardon me for stating the plainly obvious, but of course, Hot Dog will come to the rescue of the evading Raptor and blow Narcho out of the sky. Easiest prediction in a long while. So many reasons why:

We get to see Narcho, a very marginal character, insult Starbuck early on in this weeks episode. If he’s not going to get his ass handed to him later on, it’s a wasted scene in a very tight hour.

We get to see Starbuck and Hot Dog have a fight when Kara mocks his paternity, even more so a wasted scene if there is not going to be a payback. Will Hot Dog come to her rescue despite the current annimosity? Are you kidding me? Bonus points for Tyrol also being on said Raptor. So that’s two characters that Hot Dog is close to and with which he has had conflicts with in the last 2 episodes.

When Gaeta asks who is on CAP (guess that means who is ready to go in a Viper) the first 2 names that happen to be mentionned are, of course, Hot Dog and Narcho. Geata orders an encoded message be sent to Narcho to destroy the Raptor.

That being said, no surprise there. I still can’t wait for it. Viper on Viper on Raptor action. Well, this ought to be different…

If it doesn’t happen I will eat a plate of Brussel Sprouts, a vegetable I can’t stand and I have no idea how to cook.

What is your easy prediction for next week and what will be your punishment if it doesn’t happen?

Update: I stand corrected, only Roslin and Baltar on the Raptor, but I stand by my prediction.

Good call on the prediction.

The CAP are the Vipers that are currently on patrol (P in CAP) around the fleet at that time. So they are already in the air…er…vacuum.

I dont believe Tyrol is on the Raptor.
But it is a safe bet that Hot Dog will save the day.

I really hope that Roslins bitch-be-crazy mode isnt a result of Adama being killed. If Adama died that would be too much for me.

Laura, with fire power from Starbuck and Lee, storm CIC. After a heated discussion in which Laura dresses Gaeta down, Gaeta succombs to his guilt and cries like a baby, after which everyone in CIC formerly of the Pegasus then stages a mutiny againts the mutiny, a cleansing blood bath occurs. Roslin then makes a statement formerly stepping down as president, possibly with a symbolic removal of wig. Lee becomes prez, Starbuck his vice, and Adama escorts Laura back to his quarters to seal the deal.

My punishment if I’m wrong, I will do the following: I work at a ski school in Sun Valley, Idaho. I will make myself be nice to the kids for at least 30 minutes on Saturday.

That is too harsh of a punishment. Be nice to them for 15 minutes on Mondays when there are probably less of them.

I’m assuming Tyrol is in the Raptor since after it left only Adama and Tigh were left to guard the secondary storage room. Also, Tyrol knew that as a Cylon he was going to be made prisoner. My best guess is that he left, but I could be wrong.

I do not know about the Roslin crazy fit since I did not catch the previews. Was there a snippet showing a viper fight?

Nope, it showed no Vipers.

The preview actually reminded me of the one during the New Caprica arc where in the episode Roslin was lined up to be shot, but then in the previews you see her alive.

The only ones on the Raptor are Roslin and Baltar. Adama tells Lee, Kara, and Tyrol to go back out the way they came - through the access shafts. As Tigh is closing the blast doors, you can see Lee and Kara heading up the ladder as Tyrol closes the panel.

It took me a second time watching that specific scene to find it.

I sure hope Hotdog takes out Narcho, tho.

What kind of a call sign is Narcho? That guy/girl is destined for short screen time. Quite like Jaffe or however you spell his name.

see my first thought was that somehow starbuck would grab a viper and blow narcho’s [sorry barb] to hell, but then i remembered that the hanger decks are under gaeta’s control.

did hot dog launch before this whole revolution started or after? what about narcho? we saw him evacuating the area where the “fire” was, so after that did he grab a viper and get in the air? i think we can believe that hot dog will be loyal… we can hope he’ll act.

Tyrol is with Lee & Starbuck. He’s the one who was replacing the panel when the doors for the storage room were being closed.

They were both out on CAP, but we don’t know when Hot Dog in particular left. It looked like he was going to visit Nick right when the fire alarm went off. Then again, Hot Dog could be so clueless that he didn’t know that Gaeta had taken over the hangar deck when he launched. The mutiny was still in its nascent stages with the fire alarm, so the mutineers on the deck may have still been acting like nothing was wrong. If there’s anyone who would completely miss the fact there was a mutiny going on, my money would be on Hot Dog.

Narcho=guy. We first saw him in “Pegasus” (he’s from the Pegasus), and he’s popped up a few times since. Also, that was the guy who was all “get your hands off me” with Starbuck when the fire alarm went off.

Well I do find it a bit comforting that the Lee/Kara/Tyrol strike team is aboard Galactica. I’m interested to see what they will get up to. Hopefully, it will involve some intervention on Adama’s Trial. But I’d also be excited if they found a way to bust out the captured cylons + Helo and then take the fight to Gaeta and Zarek (oh and Gage for good measure).

And am I alone in not wanting to believe that Tigh bought it at the end of the last episode? Seems too blunt to be true - a la the time D’Anna tried to tell Roslin she was one of the Five…

I think Starbuck & Co will bust out the cylonz and Helo and then rescue Adama. I see the Sunshine Boys meeting a not so pretty end at the hands of Helo.

Tigh, mostly out of loyalty but also as an effort to expiate his race’s guilt (which Lee reminded him of shortly before), throws himself on the grenade and saves Adama.

Later, the same mysterious deus ex machina that had returned Starbuck following her fiery demise in Maelstrom will kick into gear to return Tigh 2.0.
