DVD Ripping Software

Hey yall,

I need to rip a DVD that does not have Copy Protection. Its for a totally legitimate reason and i have permission from the DVD rights holder. I was able to make a an .iso fileand then tried to use Handbrake to make it into an .mp4 but it not of a very good quality and i cant move forward in the time line in Premier Pro. I would think that Adobe has something that can help my but i cant find anything. I would love any help i can get.

Thanks

Jason

Depends if you’re using a Mac or PC. I use a PC and DVDShrink is great. You can use ImgBurn to burn the ISO.

I’m not sure if these will work on a Mac.

Thanks…im still staunchly a PC guy

Interesting. I’ve found Handbrake to be pretty reliable, but that may be a Mac thing. (Although I remember being a bit confused about the way DVDs are structured at first. That may be your problem.)

That is a distinct possibility…although it seems that Premier is now accepting my MP4 rip and is functioning nicely. But thanks all for your help.

A bit late to the party but… I also use DVDShrink though it’s been much slower for me than it used to be in the past few months, which is sad. But it still gets the job done.
