Unbelievably, I’m starting this thread 3 months later than Raemani did last time. Yes Easties, Dragon*Con is on its way! Only 221 days left as of today! This will be my first con, so I am totally excited already! Woot! More info to come…

I’m bringing two with me as well. Should be bunking somewhere in the Marriott. Hoping to maybe if at all possible have my snowtrooper done by then. Possibly another BSG as well and another to not be named at this time. Should get me to…six total costumes. Going to have a lot of luggage.

FAA regs clearly state that all carry-on cylons be weighed and checked. You’re going to be soooo over-the-limit. Can’t he buy his own ticket?
Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it this year. The vacation time has already been taken by others. I’m hoping for next year.
HAHA. I think I’m good with the FAA since the hotel is basically right down the street from my house (sheesh, I shouldn’t post when I’m tired. Think I got this thread mixed up with the meetup thread, I be dumb) (We will actually be driving to Dragon Con. However, the wife will have to fly so I guess I am only bringing one with me.)

OK, just to warn everyone some of the hotels are already sold out - so I would make hotel reservations post haste. And it appears that the football game is back and possibly a Delta convention.
I am still not sure if I can make it there year. If I do I won’t be arriving until Saturday evening (my cousin had the nerve to plan his wedding that weekend - well I guess the future wife had something to do with it).

It is looking less likely that I will be able to go - since my cousin is getting married that weekend - on Sunday. So if I do go I will have to leave either before the colonial fleet party or EARLY Sunday.

I know I was like why that weekend??? And Sunday…I mean I was going to try and come down after the wedding. And it is still a possibility if the guests are really good, or a lot of the bunnies are going…
But I know Jamie is signed up for a Con in London in Nov them I am likely going to, so I may just have to skip D*C. We shall see
I concur! People should plan their events around cons, don’t they know that?
i might just be able to make it. I might miss my dads bday but i might jsut be able to make it. we will see. it will also be my first con as well

I was able to make it to DragonCon last year… first time ever… WOW is all I have to say… i had heard it was big, but “Big” doesnt do it justice… If you havent been, go! I’m hoping to make it this year, but things are looking iffy right now… vacation time being the most of the problem… Oh well… If not '09, there’s always '10…
