DRAGON AGE 2 DEMO

The entire world stands on the brink of war, and you are the one person at the center of it all. On February 22, 2011, BioWare™ will release a demo for Dragon Age™ 2, allowing gamers on all platforms to experience a portion of this epic action RPG. Featuring enhanced graphics, faster, more responsive combat and a gripping storyline, the Dragon Age 2 demo is your chance to find out firsthand why IGN, Game Informer, MTV and The New York Times’ Seth Schiesel have endorsed Dragon Age 2 as one of the most anticipated games of 2011.

More info at link.

That’s a great way to demo the game! It sounds like whatever you do in the demo will carry over into the main game (thank goodness).

Weirdly, I’m most excited by the fact that there will be an inventory at party camp/home. WOO! I never was able to manage my belongings very well.

The Keep DLC was almost mandatory.

Quote:

Day’s six-episode run, due to hit the Web this year, is set in Ferelden, the same fantasy land in which 2009’s Dragon Age: Origins and the upcoming sequel Dragon Age II play out. In the Tolkienesque sword-and-sorcery adventure game, several races join forces to combat a scourge called the Darkspawn (think of them as cousins to the orcs in The Lord of the Rings).

A peek at the Dragon Age II narrative shows Day wrote an original story line around a character for herself, Tallis, an Elven assassin.

“Tallis is headstrong, she fights dirty, and she has a really sarcastic sense of humor,” she says. “I wanted to bring a modern sensibility to a fantasy character in a fantasy world.”

Tallis goes on a quest to capture a renegade magician. Along the way, she gathers her own fellowship. “She can’t accomplish her mission alone, so finding allies is tricky,” Day says. “The success or failure of the mission will have a big impact on her future and her freedom.”

Filming took place over a dozen days last month in the L.A. area, with Independence Day associate producer Peter Winther as director and John Bartley (Lost) as cinematographer. “They are going to take this a step above what we have seen on the Web before,” says Day, who also co-produced Redemption.

That sounds pretty darn cool.

Re: The Keep DLC
I never bought any of the DLCs for DA, if only because it took me so long to finish the game the first time around! (I’m still in my second playthrough, but am maybe 60% finished).

This needs to be spread around. Like Random News. Does Felecia have her own thread like Summer?

The keep is only about 1.5-3 hrs to do. I’ve done it so many times now that I can speed through the cutscenes. The extra space is very much worth it for the time invested, but I dunno for the cost.

No, but all her projects do.

So say we all! Made life a lot easier.

I am doing a human warrior run-through now so i can be king and follow through with the morrigan romance. pack space is already far more annoying than i had remembered. in the middle of ostagar but will trot on over to the peak right after.

Felicia Day in Dragon Age Redemption.

I’m playing my second full playthrough (as an elf mage this time), and it’s not quite as obnoxiously slow as it was the first time around (or maybe I just know what to expect this time). Of course, I’ve also pretty much just been doing random mini-quests.

I think I’m going to try getting the ashes from the urn before I go to Redcliff to see if that opens up more options.

I’ not 100% sure, but I don’t think ashes place is open before Radcliffe. But, I’ve never tried. I don’t think a certain scholar’s house is open before Radcliffe.

(This should be in the spoilers thread I think.)

I visited his house and see Haven already. I think the quest first appears when you talk to the knight in the Lotherim chantry (might depend on if you looted the knight the bandits killed before you got there).

I have no frakking clue how I did it, but I just got both the Leliana and Morrigan romance achievements in one trip to camp. ;)

Not at the same time though? Unfortunately. d:

Haha! When I was doing my “get all achievements” run, I got 3 (I think it was Morrigan, Leliana, and then Zevran, in that order) all in the same “night”.

I can only imagine what my character must have smelled like upon leaving Zevran’s tent.

OK, I was able to get the ashes before going to Redcliff, but I couldn’t get to Eamon before dealing with the Demon.

Anyone got the DA2 demo yet. I tried to get it but apparently it’s exclusive to Gold members for a week. I guess I’ll have to wait. I guess I’ll have a chance to finish my DAO playthrough.
