I’m with you on this one or at least I think so. This is BSG, its dark, its relentless, the end will be devastating. Galactica, the spiny thing, all star bases and ressurection, the fleet, all gone. I’m pretty sure we are heading for some pretty awesome battle sequences as all parties take up sides and do battle for their survival, destroying each other in the process. Only a handful will survive.
I’m enjoying where I think this is headed. I just hope the data dumps are over. I don’t want a hero to save the day. I don’t want the righteous and honorable human qualities to suddenly shine forth. I don’t want this to end with good winning over evil because good always wins. I want this to be messy, life is messy, its a mix of failure and success, its a mix of joy and strife. BSG has always mirrored this, I suspect it will continue to do so through the final moments.
Buried within the destruction and desolation there will be one very small one very faint glimmer of hope for a hylon future.
