Did new Trek just killed Tuvok?

I mean… can there still be a Tuvok?

They may have to forego the whole pon farr thing and get busy. There are always possiblities.

Tuvok was born at Vulcanis Lunar Colony which is said to be a Vulcan colony on Luna (Earth’s moon). He was born in 2264 and the events in the movie took place in 2258. It wouldn’t be a stretch to think they were living at the colony for a while so they may not have been on Vulcan at the time.

I’m more concerned for T’Pring. She was naughty and logical. And with only a few Vulcans left, they needs some naughty and logical chicks.

Yeah, but Ston can kiss my sorryBarb.

i thought that means a colony on Vulcan’s moon.?

out on a limb here…equal in hotness to TPol

This could be very interesting. I hadn’t given it much thought but they could do some interesting things with this. Spock has lived out his life as a hybrid (half human/half Vulcan). I’m not sure if it had been mentioned but the upcoming generation of Vulcans will have to consist of what will be a majority of “half breeds”, not just of humans but of many races. This would make Spock part of the majority and maybe even a role model of types.

It would be interesting to see a Vulcan/Klingon or for Sean a Vulcan/Orion. Everything looks better in green.

It has been said before (by Spock) that Vulcan has no moons yet we do see a body orbiting it in some shots of it. It is said that Vulcan has a sister planet named T’Khut.

Just as with many other series that get so large the space between canon and non-canon gets very large and the ability to keep everything the same gets ever increasingly harder.

To answer the question of this thread… I can only hope so! ( at least in this universe he’s probably gone)

Tuvok ( at least the acting that creates the character of Tuvok) is horrible. I think Tuvok is probably a great character in print. In a novel, Tuvok is probably pretty cool, or at least has a good backstory. I have to say that the way the he is written on voyager is pretty cool. But, in the end… he is a TV character… and backstory from other sources or the content of the character’s lines are all completely deminished by the fact that that the actor’s performance is forced and barlely likeable. I would much rather read about Tuvok than watch him onscreen. Good riddence!

Another example of this is Shelby from TNG. On paper and in backstory she is the coolest thing since Kirk… but her performance was unlikeable.

Affter a while one just accepts Tuvok ( and the voyager crew) because in the end… it’s Trek and we like Trek… but he’s no Spock, Kirk, Data, Odo, T’pol, or Picard. We can live without him in the timeline.

Good riddance is right.

Aw, no love for Tuvok. He would be sorely missed by Captain Janeway.

The only thing worse than an arrogant, condescending Vulcan who looks down on everybody, is one that is a traitorous rat. Riker needs to watch his back.

I guess now Spock will have to have a transporter accident and become Spuvik…

i personally liked Tuvok. i think he is the best vulcan in trek-verse. i say that because spock is only half vulcan.

with tuvok you get to see how vulcans really react to things. besides, tuvok has a lot of heart.

I still feel his biography and in print he is a better character than he is acted.

For my money it’s T’pol. i love her even if she wern’t hot!

Naw she’d just bust out another pack of ciggs and a fresh pot of coffee, problem solved.

ps, obviously we never saw it, but with a voice like that Janeway had to be a chain-smoker

Yep, Tim Russ made a much better Klingon on that one episode of DS9.

I never liked Tuvok anyway.

I think one of those Hitler clips is in order here… I can feel the “Your favorite series is Voyager, no one cares what you think” moment coming up.
