A battle of the serial killers. We have Dexter’s very own Dexter Morgan (portrayed by Micheal C Hall) and American Psyco’s Patrick Bateman (portrayed by Christian Bale)
I haven’t actually read either of the book versions (they’re on my to read list, it’s getting longer everyday) so I’m going with the TV show/movie version of each.
Are they trying to kill each other or are we seeing who is a better killer.

Dexter, cause I actually like him. (I’m basing it on both the book and on-screen versions.)
I choose Dexter. He is a much more calculating killer and has rules. Patrick Bateman really will kill anyone…also there is the fact that Bateman may have not killed anyone and it was all just a fantasy…
Patrick Bateman certainly had a more thorough beauty regime. 
Otherwise, in the end, he was fairly sad and pathetic (and ultimately, possibly delusional). I gotta go Dexter here.

Got to back Dexter on this one, he has been doing it longer and was trained to kill.
One of my favourite moments in Dexter is when he uses Dr Patrick Bateman as an alias when he buying his tranqualisers.
Hrmm, this is really a tough one.
Patrick Bateman has real flair. Chainsaws, pneumatic nail guns and such…you don’t see that kind of hardware with your average serial killer. Plus, he shares Chuck’s passion for Huey Lewis (suddenly, I have a mental image of Chuck wearing a plastic poncho and wielding an ax while rambling about the unappreciated genius of Hip to Be Square).
Dexter Morgan, on the other hand, has a much more calculating nature and classic sensibility. He’d turn down power tools any day of the week in favor of the proper tools: tranquilizers, plastic wrap, and a solid knife.
In the end, though, I’m going to have to go with Dex. I mean, seriously, he spends his spare time cruising into a boat named “Slice of Life.” You just can’t top that pitch black humor.
Going strictly on hotness here because I’ve only ever seek Dexter in commercials: Bateman all the way.

I voted for Dexter despite never seeing the show because I am not a big Chuck Palahnuk fan. Too much internalized misogyny.
