Rollie: For the next six years I will be as close to you as this damn comm will allow me to be.
Jen cuts Rollie short.

Zoe is sitting in front of Beta.
Jen finds Zoe. Zoe practices her lines on Jen.
Jen to Zoe:
I would die if I lost you.
Zoe:
You’re not gonna lose me.

There’s alot of whistling in the dark aboard the Antares.
All of them are scared and not truly optimistic about the mission.
Zoe:
It’s as if I’m wearing a suit of armor today.
Nothing can touch me.
Not Venus, not Donner, no Beta.
Ok so maybe Zoe is the only one who is confident of success.

Jen:
Think I’m going to be able to see this new one?
ASCAN training
20 lucking candidates will move one to the next phase of training.
10 will go home tomorrow.

Venus’ surface pressure is 93 times that of earth. The surface temperture is 460 C degrees (860 F).

Time on the planet is limited to 20 mins.
After that the body is dying and the equipment is breaking down.
Like the “death zone” on Everest, but much more so.
Back at Mission Control
Rollie feels like a coward, for not taking responsibility for the injured cyclist.
Eve tells Rollie he has to let it go.
Oh yah, that’s easy.

Eve:
"What we’re doing here is beyond that guilt.
It’s beyond our personal lives.
It’s beyond our friends and family.
Do you understand - it’s beyond everything.
Rollie:
And if Zoe doesn’t make it,
what does that mean?
Eve:
It’ll probably mean the mission is over.
And my marriage.

Eve:
And I have a felling somehow that the fate of mankind is mixed up in all of it.
That’s scary. Stakes are high.
On the floor at Mission Control
Trevor, the reporter is interviewing Ajay and Arnel.
Arnel oozes dissatisfaction and Ajay optimistic enthusiasm.
Ajay: It is an amazing achievement.

Trevor finishes, but sees that Arnel is ready to talk to him.
Clare the doctor to Dr Mintz.
Zoe’s heart rate is good. Strong and calm.
Maybe too strong and calm.
Strange thing to say.

Clare tells Mintz about the weird physiological changes happening to the crew that she was told not to tell him about.
Mintz: In the meantime?
Clare: They’re good to go.
