Another SciFi favorite of mine.

(From IMDB)
Unless a comet can be destroyed before colliding with Earth, only those allowed into shelters will survive. Which people will survive?

Leelee Sobieski

I associate Deep Impact and Armageddon together in my mind.

1- They were both released in the same year - 1998.

2- Subject- they both deal with the imminent destruction of life on Earth by meteor, comet, etc.

3- Acts of courage and self-sacrifice abound.

4- Major great cities are destroyed.

5- And great special effects.

I love both these films, and for different reasons.
I see them as an apple and an orange.
I don’t try to compare them.
I just enjoy them both.

I loved this movie sooooo much more then I did Armageddon…but I have a hockey game tonight (they need a goalie badly, I can’t not show at the last minute)

what movies you planning for next week?

Ahh, sorry you can’t make it tonight.

Haven’t decided on next week yet, but I’ll post it.
Keep your eye out for it.

Have a good game tonight.

Ok, here we go.

Love this film.

A very young Elijah Wood.

“It’s probably a satellite”

Famous last words.

I happen to love Opera too !!

I happen to love pizza too !!

The “Oh, crap” moment.

Wolf-Biederman object

Can’t you just see this astronomer’s fate written on his forehead?

Ah, Tea Leoni - just love her.

Yes, Jenny, that was a blow-off.

Vanessa Redgrave - always excellent.

“…You now have a step-mother, who is 2 years older than you.”

“Do you have a name?”

“Ellie”

James Cromwell - this movie is full of good actors.

“Nobody knows everything.”

“I know you’re just a reporter, but you used to be a person.”
Ouch
