Ok, so my tv died this week. No sympathy needed because it was actually 2 months shy of the end of it’s 4 year service plan, so Best Buy gets to buy me a new one. I was looking at what’s available now and it seems that I may want to pay a little extra to go with a set with Internet connectivity to be able to use Netflix instant watch. Does anyone else out there connect to Netflix that way? And if so do you really download and view at 1080 HD? Just curious.
There is a limited number movies streaming at 1080p but the number is increasing. Is it worth the cost? shrug I shouldn’t really speak to it because I’m using a Wii to stream and only getting 480p. That being said, Instant watch is really cool and beats the heck outta having to wait for the DVD in the mail.
Besides, you can now browse the web from your TV. WooT! I believe there are other bells and whistles or widgets that I’m not familiar with.
If I may ask, what was the make and model of your old TV?
