There’s a bunch of stuff coming up that may make for fun meetups.

June 7th, Lev Grossman is giving a talk to support the paperback release of The Magicians at the Borders on K Street. (full tour schedule) I’m almost certain to be there.

Every Monday at sundown Crystal City is showing a Trek Movie outdoors (right by the Metro stop.) This one is trickier for me. I may try to make Wrath.

Sunday, June 27th, Cory Doctorow is giving a talk in Baltimore in support of his new book For The Win. I’ll prolly be there.

Shore Leave is the weekend of July 9-11. It’s in Timmonium (just north of Baltimore) but you can easily take the light rail from Balto’s Penn Station. I’ll likely do Saturday afternoon.

The weekend of July 16-18th is Artscape in Baltimore. I’ll be at the Tavern.

Also June 25th and 26th are Can’t Stop the Serenity showings in Arlington. From what I can tell, the showing on the 26th will also include a screening of Dr. Horrible.

If we can find a sitter this will be my anniversary present :slight_smile:

I’ll actually be in the Baltimore area this Wednesday (June 23, 2010). Though I’ve got business stuff going on all day and into the night, I might be able to pull off a late-night meetup should anyone desire it. Of course, it’s such short notice (and so late at night) that I assume it’ll be tough for anyone. That said, if you’re interested, PM me and we’ll try and work it out!

I won’t know until I receive my schedule later this week – maybe even morning of – but I’m guessing pretty late. Like a good bit after the Orioles game that night. I’m game for staying up late late, though, if needed.
