Seriously? See the Opera. TDK will be around for a bit, I suspect.
See TDK, screw zombies
Go to the rock opera, silly. The movie will still be playing tomorrow.
Me? I couldn’t wait till night time and saw it this morning. Hot damn it was good! So good! I even considered just sneaking into another showing, but I couldn’t let myself be so unethical.
I don’t know who’s freakier either, Joker or Two Face.

Joker by far. Two face dosent even come close
seeing it tomorrow I’m SO EXCITED
Call in talking about it Emily plz
here’s me and a couple friends with whom i went to a midnight showing. it was a pretty crazy night, especially when we were driving to the theater and a guy next to us almost ran a red light because he couldn’t help but stare at the Joker driving the car next to him.
Superman c’mon that’s almost as bad as the dude that showed up to my showing with a spiderman mask
Just watch for their teeth.
I’ll agree, 24 hours removed from my first viewing (how I wish I could go back, but I’ve got to save my cash!). Still, it was hard to look at Harvey in the face for the last third of the film. But man, way to make Two Face a sympathetic character!

Absolutely. The effects on his face were downright horrific. Seeing his naked eyeball rolling around in the socket was unsettling, to say the least. The “drainage” on his shoulder and lapel was a nice touch, as the left side of his suit steadily got more and more besmirched through the course of the film.
actually i’m the one with the Superman shirt, but hey, that’s how i roll.
Hope you’ll be eating crow someday. Long before the troubled Justice League movie there were rumors of a Brave & the Bold movie, with Burton’s name attached for a while. (I think you can even find a script out there)
You can see an unfair tease for one on a fake billboard in I Am Legend.
Anyone else feeling bummed and ambivalent? I’m guessing no, because most of the reviews and talk I’ve read are breathlessly exuberant.
It’s got a 94% at Rotten Tomatoes. Maybe I’m being too contrary, but the more I read the Fresh Ratings, the less I like the movie.
I posted at length about this at Your Geek News, but I don’t feel like dragging out all my grievances at the moment. For a short version, let’s say: Concept and portrayal of the world and its characters–Thumbs Up. Execution as a movie–Thumbs Down.
I’m not hating on the film. Maybe a second viewing will give me perspective. I just haven’t made up my mind whether I like it or not yet.
This movie was amazing and I think that the JOKER absolutely stole the movie - it was and outstanding performance. It literally felt like to me that Heath Ledger was not even there - it was all Joker.
absolutely, after that opening bank robbery sequence, they totally had me along for the ride, which i was wishing would go on for hours after it was over.
So true. What I loved is that they brought in aspects of Jokers past – Cesar Romero’s laugh, Jack Nicholson’s rhetoric, even a little of the cartoons’ zaniness – but still made a memorable, completely unique character who was brilliant and insane and everything I always thought the Joker would be. In almost every way, he was the Moriarty to Batman’s Holmes.
Absolute favorite Joker moment: the pencil. Maybe we’re just sick, but most people in the audience had a big belly laugh over that one. Myself included.
Let me just say this film was amazing. Definitely the best superhero movie I have ever scene. At the end of it all, and I can say this for very few movies, I felt completely satisfied. There was a point were I thought they are going to end this thing any second because I have scene it done in so many other movies. They really wrapped everything up nicely. Christopher Nolan is the new standard for what great movies should be. In short, I have to say that these films are real superhero movies. There was no senseless promotion or cheesy cliches. You really believe a normal man could be an incredible hero.
I do have to say the whole “cell phone sonar” thing was a bit far out. What kind of cell phone can be software upgraded to send and receive sonar pings?
Saw it last night- great energy in the audience, which is half the fun. Very pleased with the film. The Joker reminded me a bit of DeNiro as Al Capone. Very smart, very sick and very twisted. The performance was really everything we’d heard and more. I would have cut about twenty minutes, but that’s really my only complaint.
Hell yeah. But then, the whole movie has been haunting me a bit since I saw it yesterday morning. I can’t remember the last time that happened, but I know it wasn’t with a superhero movie.
Now, for my next trick, I’ll make this pencil disappear…
