I love that, cat-woman will be there: but not as the be all end all villain considering this will be Nolan’s last. In truth i want cat-woman and the joker with a strong secondary role of Harley Quinn. but thats to big a mine field, me thinks to recast the joker.

As many suspected adn has been rumored for a while - Nolan has just added more fuel to the fire in the following -
Director Christopher Nolan says he ultimately decided to make this movie because “it was about finishing the story”

The running speculation is that it’s a Lazarus Pit. (for those that don’t knoe the Lazarus Pt is what resurrects Ras al-Ghul in the Batman comics - they’ve been using it for years)
On the one hand, it’d be true to the comics. On the other, it could take awau from the realism that Nolans Bat-flicks have been known for.
on the third hand, this may not be a Lazarus Pit at all…so, there’s that…

Just want to say that I agree that Bane is one of the 3 best Batman Villain Ever! My favorite top 3 villain include all of Nolan Vilain :
1-The Joker
2-Bane
3-Ras Al Gul

and we are on the same page with the top 3 in the Rogues gallery - tho I think Ras is higher than Bane. Still totally agree with all 3
Ra’s a better villain in a way that you can do multiples different stories with the character. I would also argue that he has more depth then Bane and for a cherry on top he is the Grand Father of Damian Wayne. He’s paart of the family ;).
BUT
Bane, even if he has only 1 GREAT story achieved something iconic by breaking the Bat. If I ask the normal Batman Fan they will have a hard time naming the greatest Ra’s story but for Bane Knightfall will come up right away.
and that is why he is higher on my list.
Now, just for fun, Where does GWCer thinks Catwoman will fall : Villain, Foe, Love interest?
I’m hoping for a strong villain, in the vain of the Joker. I would love to see a strong, intelligent woman villain portrayal. The Nolan films have always been about the psychological strenghts of the characters. I would love to see the powers of the female gender exploited without the typical exploiting of the female form.
Now, don’t get me wrong. Y’all know how I feel about the female form. I just don’t want it to be all about sexual tension and sexual exploitation.
Bane! Bane is one of my favorite villains, period. I know that in comics you need villains who are versatile and recyclable and that Bane really isn’t but I don’t care. His arc is short, but his shadow looms long. I am excited.
