You’re thinking about Tatoonie’s Ghost. It’s a Han Leia tale that takes place right after courtship.
The thing that’s cool about the Expanded Universe is that when Heir and Dark Empire began to revive the publishing side of SW Lucas mandated that every has to fit and connect without contradicting whatever comes down the pipe. The only exception being the movies.
One cool EU fact, the name Corouscant came from what Timothy Zauhn named it in his first series.
I was thinking… It might be a good idea for you to change the board name to Star Wars Expanded Universe. The comics are only a small part of the EU and I’ve noticed how the conversation,in this thread and the others, have turned towards the novels and games.
I wish I could go to the comic shop more often. I used to be all about the X-men and other Marvel books and on top of that Star Wars. Ever since college and beyond, though, I just can’t keep up with the cost of comics today. I still pick a book up here and there, but mainly I try to keep up with SW.
Old Republic- 5,000 years b4 ANH, KOTOR etc.
Rise of the Empire- Everything between Ep.1-Ep.4
Original Trilogy- Events between Ep.4-Ep.6
New Republic- Events after Ep.6-NJO
New Jedi Order- 19 book series that is one long story.
Legacy of the Jedi- Book series that follows NJO and Legacy comic that takes place 100 years after ROTJ
Chuck I noticed you mention that you read one the Legacy books. You might want to at least go back and read the NJO series first. Otherwise you might be lost on some things. Everything else B4 that in the New Republic era just adds flavor to the NJO background.
While I’m relatively new to the novels, I’ve read quite a few of the comics from most eras, and I fill in a lot from Wookieepedia as necessary. The overlap is interesting, though!
