I really really am going to try to make it up that way this weekend for the meet up. I know I said that last time but I got sick last time which really sucks. I really want to make it for a meet up. I know Emily from ohio will probably kill me because we usually record on friday or saturday for our podcast but it would be pretty cool cause I could bring my laptop and we could skype her into our meet up. LoL! Anyways I hope to meet everyone. -Jen

It was a great time. Topics ranged from statistics, to literary theory, to seemingly every Sci Fi show that’s ever been on. (Well, OK we didn’t get around to Land of The Giants– Thank Gods). The highlight was talking to Emily on Hot_Dog_Will_Save_All’s Mac.
So here’s my thread to put together a pre-movie GWC meetup for this weekend’s Studio Movie Grill Can’t Stop the Serenity showing.
I’m thinking meeting around 11 a.m. (CT, of course) so we have plenty of time to grab some lunch and make it over to the 1 p.m. show. How’s that sound?
If good, I have some great ideas for places close by.

Tim Minear will be at the Barley House on Saturday night 6/21 from 5 to 8. That’s about 200 yards from where I live, so I’ll be going to that. They have a pretty good beer selection. 
I like Red, Hot, & Blue(BBQ), Royal Thai(Thai), and, of course, Sherlock’s, but I’m open to anything.

Also, is it just me, or do they keep moving up the start time? Was 2:00 last weekend and now it is 1:00. Was 2:30 a month or so ago.
ETA: We should take into account any pre-event stuff and the fraking long line to get a decent seat in the place.
Awww this must be the thread Miss Muffet was talking about…since Cylon_Sleeper and I will be attending the screening we might be up for meeting up…depends on time, place, and place to eat. Due to Cylon_Sleepers’ very “particular tastes” ~sigh~
Well, don’t forget that one of the major features of the theatre is that you can order food and eat a real meal while you are watching the show. Personally, I may just get something light at the meetup and eat a real meal during the event.
Good idea. I think that’s probably what I’ll do.
