Actually in the old series, their was a “Special Weapons Dalek” that had basically a cannon sized Dalek gun mounted right in the middle of its hull, a Sturmgeschutz Dalek. In expanded universe stuff its mentioned that the radiation backlash of the giant cannon has driven it mad, which for a Dalek has got to be pretty crazy.
