dad in the head

how come she did not know that was her father and Nobody seening him there.

Was that Daniel?

Gotta love it

The song is an activator for the FF, so what purpose will Kara have for them?

He’s head dad. If you are not used to seeing imaginary people you may be surprised the first time it happens.

But how awesome the reaction of Tigh when she plays the song.

Very very true. Even though I knew that the piano-guy wasn’t going to be there for anyone else, well yeah, it was well played.

I think in a post-Sixth Sense world we won’t get snowed as easily. But it seemed the writers thought we might so they kept up the pretense most of the episode.
While I was watching it I wondered if I would recognize my own dad if he left me when I was 8 or 9 and returned today as he looked roughly back then. And the answer is a resounding YES! Faces aside, a mother or father’s voice will always stick in your head. It burns deeply into your young, developing mind.

So, assuming that’s really her father, he must be appearing altered.

PS I was totally surprised by the Sixth Sense so I vowed never again!!

She’s been carryin g on in that bar all by herself–and if you watch the background actors NObody pays her any attention. ā€œThat’s just crqazy Starbuck!ā€

He has the BEST expressions. I love the way his eyes nearly bug out of his head.

Hello all! 1st time posting here so if my theory at the end has been brought up before then please excuse me.

I can only assume that somehow Starbuck’s ā€˜head dad’ is some kind of altered form of the cylon Daniel. The cassette that had her fathers music on it had a profile image of Starbuck’s real dad that looked nothing like her ā€˜head dad’. Also, why would they even bring Daniel up in the story line if he didn’t have a roll to play in it some how.

I think that when Starbuck 2.0 came back from earth, she did so w/ some essence of Daniel within her. She is the harbinger of death after all.

Isn’t that the question. I think Starbuck’s father is Daniel.

Show them the way to a ā€œnew Earthā€? Lead the FF to their end/death, so the other Cylons are on their own?

Well, I was totally sucked in. I thought he was real until he disappeared. And I also agree, I think her father appeared to her in an altered way.

Welccome to the Forums Eugene.

Welcome to the Forums saturn.

=Piano Man=Starbuck’s dad, but doesn’t look like him because his appearance is a projection of hers so she is the Harbinger after all?

How is the harbinger bit the case? She is the harbinger of the arrival of the dead Daniel?

He was the sensitive one. Will he come back (as Kara?!) an angry death dealer?

Dude, where’s my flow chart?

Yes.
Kara will lead them to their end.
(What end exactly? And whose end?)

Kara, the harbinger of death.
(Whose death?)

I want some answers. YES, AND A FLOWCHART ALSO !

Dude, where’s my flow chart?

Over at Battlestar Wiki.

Hmmm so head characters still have bodily functions?
Better check with Baltar on that actually.
Ewwwww!!!

flowchart, knocks over Mountain Dew, um

So Starbuck is Daniel?

Honestly, someone posted a link to a flowchart, anybody recall?

I became suspicious when the abandonment discussion started. The real clincher was how he taught her to play the piano.

I am confused about if he was not there who wrote the sheet music that Starbuck compared Hera’s picture to?

Eye. :D…

Not to be crass, but I knew it was her dad when she didn’t Frack him. I mean this is Starbuck…

I wonder if Kara’s the Harbinger of Death for the Cylons, and perhaps that is her role to fulfill, though it’s not quite as depressing as the BSG creative minds generally appear to enjoy getting at.

Ooh, good question !
